Ringtones Size??? Less than 600 kb??
After getting my Samsung D807 last summer, I've mastered the art of cutting and mixing Ringtones under 30 seconds at less then 192kbps... But now my wife has the SYNC and the ringtones that work on my D807 DONT work on the SYNC....
A different post said the files need to be less than 600kb....but all my files are less than 600kb and the only ones that are actually allowed to be ringtones are less than 300kb....
Anyone know the actual facts about this??

Try a 30 second cut off. If you are mixing your own ringtones thay may be the key. I have had no trouble mixing and downloading at that length.

That's my exact point...none of my ringtones are more than 30 seconds...and they all play on my D 807.... but NONE of them over 300 K play on the SYNC

I am experiencing the exact same problem. It is this new AT&T firmware. The old cingular firmware allowed 600k maximum, the new one only allows 300k. Does anyone know of a way to hack this?? That would be super helpful otherwise we'll have to resize all our ringtones and sacrifice quality.

Does your wife have an att branded sync? From my understanding the older cingular branded syncs have a limit of 600 or less but the att branded ones have a limit of 300 or less. Dont know why they decreased it but I hear its one of the differnces between the two. Hope that helps!
