SD Card Slot IS spring loaded
I see a lot of misinformation about this: the transflash card slot is spring loaded. Mine pops out with ease. Took me a bit to get used to it, but it works!

Just push in on it. Mine clicks and comes out. I wonder if some of them are not spring loaded. Is it possible some of them could be different?

Mine is spring loaded as well. I need to use a pen cap to put the card in and take it out.

Ditto, it took a bit for me to figure it out, but I got it. You push the card mostly in, you'll feel a click, then I use my fingernail to push it in the rest of the way. To remove, just push it in a little and it should slide about an eighth of an inch out.
