New or Old N95 Models
n his review of the N95, wish4an95 says that there is a new model that has better battery life.
1- How can one tell the difference between the old and the new models?
2- Has anyone bought an N95 from hi-mobile.net and did you get the new or the old model?
3- Is the difference between the old and new models a firmware update or is there a physical difference?
4- Is Nokia-USA selling the new or the old model?
Thank you.

N95 no comparision to iPhone
Instead of making a comparison, here is a list of differences between the iPhone and the N95
Bluetooth
iPhone - May work, but is a very limited and closed system with few practical uses.
Nokia N95 - Has A2DP and AVRCP. This means you can
Use it as a wireless music storage device in your car to transmit your music in excellent quality to your car stereo to play back the music.
Control the phone's playback of your music collection from your car radio.

Question for the US users
Which carrier do you use and why?
US N95 on Display
The US version of the N95 is on Nokia's Virtual Experience Center on the website. Go to www.nokiausa.com and click visit a store.
Now if you click more info it sends you to the another page that specs the older N95.

don't know which version to get...got a few questions. do you have to pay to use 3g? if so, would it be better to get the 8gb version and not have 3g and just use free wifi when ever avail? (i do not go online a lot.) im leaning toward the 8gb but don't really know the disadvantages of not having 3g. thanks

Nokia N95 US Edition
I cant wait for this phone but I'm not going to be spending $700 bucks for it at the Nokia Flagship stores. I like most people will wait for it to hit on eBay for about $50 to maybe even more bucks off but how will I know which N95 it is? Does it have a Plum Back does the box say N95 US Edition? I know people will say US edition but that also could me that it is a N95 without the US bands that was sold at a Nokia Flagship store here in the US. Anyone have a clue to this?

Nice, But...
I would like to have seen more US 3G variants like the US N95. I like the N81 but I'm not going to purchase it and be stuck with EDGE here is the US...i'm bothered by the fact that if I purchased the N81 that it will most likely never connect to a 3G network unless I travel over seas. I guess Nokia is still testing the waters here before they throw us some more 3G.

Ive got the Nokia N80 now and love it but always wanted an N95. But the big set back I had was, why pay the extra bucks for a phone doesnt even work to its full potential in the us? But now its here with all new memory an upgraded nokia GPS and more. Any news on ship dates cause im on the edge of my seat for this one. (Heard Sept but not offical)

Nokia does it again...
They just raised the bay even higher with all of these incredible devices.
I am guessing some execs at Motorola and Samsung are grinding their teeth right now.
Oh, and somebody has to say it...iPhone who?? These Nokia phones are going to make Steve Jobs one very worried man.

wait...what now? 8gb/ US?
So, I am a little confused. Is the 8gb version also, the USA 3g version? Or are we talking about 2 different phones? Anybody have the details?

N95 and Sprint?
Hi. Is it possible for me to purchase this phone on my own, and use it with Sprint, keeping the same plan that I have, but without a 2-yr agreement (I am now halfway through my current 2-yr agreement).
On the other hand, I am considering getting the HTC Mogul, but I still want to stay away from a long term contract. Thoughts?
Thanks!!!

front facing camera?
was this just a stock pic, or did it come directly from the FCC filing?
Also, can you guys confirm that it has a higher capacity battery than the original (that was the rumor, anyway).
just to vent: now that they have an 8Gb version in the pipes (that looks awesome in black BTW) this looks like yesterdays lunch
