Samsung BlackJack SGH-i607

Does anyone know for sure that the Spectec microSDIO WiFi 11g Card (or anything similar??) works with the BlackJack? The Spectec company website indicates OS support for Microsoft Windows CE 4.X-5.X/smartphone (as well as PPC) support, and skype compatible, which I believe would be real plusses for BJ.

Can anyone pls help me how to and from where can i download the samsung i607 windows mobile emulator..?

Just got this phone. I am looking for a nice leather case or possibly a "skin".. Most the stuff I find at Cingular stores and kiosks look generic. I don't like the pouch style that I have to open and close.

Any suggestions?

I am in the market for my first smartphone and I am trying to determine which one will fit my needs the best, then determine a data plan. Based on my research, I have narrowed it down to the BJ and the Palm 680. Here are my questions:

1. Can you sync the XM from the BJ to a FM transmitter so that you can listen to it in your car?

2. I have pretty limited internet needs (e-mail, checking weather etc.). Will cingulars Media max 200 work with the BJ or Palm 680. If not, how about the Data Connect 5MB or 10MB? I don't want to pay $50/month for the internet I won't use very much. Somebody let me know what direction I should go!

If you buy the Smartphone plan, does all the features on the Blackjack work? ie. pushmail, email pic, IM amd Yahoo!Go.

When I'm searching for contacts by typing on the QWERTY keyboard, the phone acts like I'm typing on an ordinary 9-digit keypad. example: If type "J" ... it brings up all the "J","K", and "L"'s. If i wanted "K", I would have typed "K". Anyone know a fix ???

Just bought the BJ only 3 days ago and so far so good. Though, I just downloaded a new tone from MediaNet and it seems I can't seem to bring it up when I go to ring tones on the phone. When I bring up the listing of all the tones I can't seem to find the one I downloaded.

Does anyone know of a way to use tones that you've downloaded? It's a bummer because I thought that's what that was for, plus it was a real cool tone.

I am really liking the features on this phone. But, I am not sure I will use the internet on it enough for the 39.99 charge a month. Is this phone worth getting if you do not use the internet on it ?

Hi everyone, I am strugling greatly to get to view excel spreadsheets. I have ported an excel file to my phone. It's showin up on the phone under my documents but I cant view it. Keeps saying that I need an application. Now I would have thought the application would have come on the phone or on the cd that comes with it but cant find it and cant view my excel docs. Anybody know where i need to go to get the application that allows me to view MS word and excell docs?

Great addition to the Blackjack...Documents to go by Data Viz adds editing of office documents! Makes this the perfect phone and office companion!

Has anyone had problems syncing this phone w/ Outlook 2003 using Activesync 4.2 ?

I am a huge fan of samsung phones. I have always owned samsung phones. But I hate the motorola Q. What makes this phone any different from the Q. From the information that I have and the information on the site, there seems to be no obvious differences. Am I missing something or is this just another clone?

I cant set up my email on my BJ and I use yahoo. I called Cingy tech support and they said it was because Yahoo now charges a monthly charge because they cant display ads on the mobile this way. Strange thing is I can put my sim card back in my Treo 650 and I can still get my emails. Whats the deal? 😡 I also do not have express mail preloaded on my BJ. How do I get that?

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to do this. is it possible? is there free software that i can use to do it? not free software? thanks everyone.

The grey number keys are great when using the Blackjack under lit conditions but under darker these keys just blend in. What I've done to enhance dialing numbers in the dark is color just the numbers red with a Bic "Mark It" permanent marker. During the day the red makes the numbers stand out even more and at night with the keypad backlighting the red numbers stand out even more...they're properly backlit so they look just like the Call End key. I only colored the numbers themselves and left the letter under each number white.

I'm considering buying the Blackjack I don't need the web or email but do need the PDA functionality and MS Apps (Excel).

1) I'm told I can purchase w/ a data plan then turn it off - I'm assuming this is true unless someone knows different (?)
2) Can I hardwire directly to a PC to move Excel / Word docs on / off the Blackjkack
3) Does this thing have / need a stylus.
