Samsung SCH-U540

If I disable EVDO and use only CDMA, will I still be able to use the web browsing features and dload games?

I know that for each individual text one can select "large" and even "bold" to make the fonts easier to read. Anyway to set this to a default so it makes font size large each time?

I had a friend send me some important info. via text. I went to lock the msg. but accidentally erased it.. They are now on a plane with no access to the original phone/message (Can't Resend). Anyone know of a way to undelete this message. Any help would be appreciated.

In synching some MP3 files, some synched fine and some came through sounding like the Chipmunks (speaking in fast forward). I tried them repeatedly, but with no difference. They all play fine on my PC. Any ideas???

Has anyone gotten PC Studio 3 to work with Verizon phone? It does not recognize the usb connection even though the phone connects to the PC just fine. PC Studio 3 supposedly does alot more than the music essentials kit, and its free.

Does anyone know for sure if the Music Essentials kit for the Samsung a990/930 will work with this phone? I know the cables should be the same, but I'm not sure about drivers.

What are the options for Syncing the u540 with a PC with Outlook for Phone Contact List, Download Pictures, Ringtones..... on a PC?

The previous Samsung phone connected via USB cable and Sync Software was available.

Sorry that this seems like the ump-teenth time someone has asked for help on ring tones but I read some of the other threads and have a couple of questions. One post said to remove text block. How do I do that? Is Audacity a good and free program to use to chop up an MP3? Can I transfer the MP3's from my computer to the U540 using the USB cable, an SD card or not at all? Is the USB cable necessary for anything else? Are my questions getting annoying?

Title says it all, I just got this phone and I took a picture and wanted to send it to my significant other, but it just shows sending at 0% and then gives me an error message?

Is there a way to end a call when the phone is closed, assuming you are using the speakerphone or bluetooth (understanding that you can press the button on most headsets)?

There is a lot of conflicting info out there, but the simple question is...can you use MP3s as ringtones?

I've tried the one suggestion in this forum, saving as MP3, opening in Windows Media Player and saving as .midi but that did not work. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

Seems like a no-brainer, a phone that can play MP3s should be able to use them as ringtones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I a samsung in the past were the front screen was on all the time and I was able to tell the time. Is there anyway to set up the U540 like that or do I just have to hold down the side button everytime I need the time. Thanks for the help.

Before I open the phone, there is an old text message on the display. Does anyone know how to get it to go away?

I have recorded some video's on my phone, and when I tried to upload them, I get an error message telling me 'EXCEEDS FILE SIZE'. I have the videos on my memory card, and I am puzzled and frustrated by this whole situation. What gives? Thanks!

I've just purchased the sch-u540...when i close the phone....all the arrows light up red and plays a sound.......what is this and how do i turn it off?

I'm considering gett the u540, but I have a few questions that I'm hoping you can answer. Your help is appreciated...

I use Mac OS X 10.4.latest.

1) Can the phone sync with iSync?

2) I think the phone can sync with DataPilot. Has anyone used DAtaPilot with this phone?

3) Does it come with a wired stereo headset? If not, is one available?

4) Is there an easy way to lock the exterier buttons - something like the "hold" switch on an iPod?

5) Hoe can I get music onto the phone? Remember I use a Mac and iTunes. Do I simply copy .mp3 files to an SD Micro card?

I have the 512mb miniSD for my phone. I just tried putting 303mb of songs onto my phone, and when I went into the MP3 player to play it, it said it was removing songs from the library. Out of those 60 songs i tried putting on, only 47 went through. Why is it cutting it off if i'm no where near my limit?!

Hey there. I just got my Samsung u540 last week, and I LOVE it, except for one annoying thing... about 1 out of every 3 calls where I use speakerphone, the person I'm talking to on the other end complains of excessive echo and feedback, to the point where I have to turn the speaker off (the problem is bad even with speaker on low).

Anyone else encounter the same issue? On the other 2 out of 3 calls, there is literally no problem.

I do realize that echo cancellation measures/software are not perfect, and you will get some echo/feedback with most any speakerphone... my old Nokia 6256's speakerphone had the same issue, of course, but it would happen less often.

Oh, and I do have the latest version of the u540 software on my phon...

I just got the U540 and for whatever reason I can't hear whoever is on the other end of my phone calls. I love the phone otherwise and would like to keep it. Does anyone know if theres a volume button for your incoming calls?
