What are the options for Syncing the u540 with a PC with Outlook for Phone Contact List, Download Pictures, Ringtones..... on a PC?
The previous Samsung phone connected via USB cable and Sync Software was available.

I ordered my u540 over the phone from Verizon and when I asked this question the phone lady seemed to not understand the question. When I said I wanted to back up my phone book onto my computer she referred me to Verizon's online backup thing, which I haven't tried, and she wouldn't really accept the notion that there might be another way.
I ordered the Music Essentials Kit so I'd at least have the cable in case Bitpim or some other av...

I am trying to get samsungs PC Studio 3.1 to work, but it does not recognize the usb connection in XP or Vista. Did connect through both operating systems with VCast music essentials, after calling Verizon and getting an updated driver. But Vcast only deals with the music folder, does not give access to other folders.
