Call me Dumb but since when did UTStarcom buy out Pantech or was the picture for a different phone. 😳

Pantech and UTStarcom are not the same company. Their phones sometimes get branded the same (i.e. UTstarcom 8910 is Verizon 8910, and Pantech 8915 is Verizon 8915), but this is strange.

UTStarcom handles North American branding, distribution, and marketing for many CDMA phones manufactured by Pantech.
Pantech used to sell phones exclusively through UTStarcom in NA (including back in the Audiovox days) but now they do sell some on their own under their own brand as well.
This phone is of course manufactured by Pantech, but UTStarcom is branding and distributing it here.
