Samsung SCH-i760

Just purchased the i760. The only time the LED indicator seems to be on is when the phone is charging, do I need to turn something else on.

can somebody help me please. i downloaded the freestyl program for my phone I don't know if you guy heard of it my friend has it in his phone and its great (whoneedsaniphone.com) it runs on flash lite and every time i try to download flash lite a bunch of letter come up and then it just freezes up. i need help. can somebody tell me how to download flash lite to my phone. thanks

so im not sure (b/c im stupid) that when reviews say you can teather the phone to a PC for internet reasons means that the PC will make the phone internet faster or that the phone will work as a wireless modem as to make a laptop have internet on the road

I just got the 760 and man am I impressed, more about that later. I need to know if theres a way to make the phone portion stay on all the time. A few times perhaps due to the fact my battery was low the phone part would shut off and I wouldnt get any txts or phone calls. I would wake up and get to work to find out its off, turn it on and have a few important phone calls that i missed. Any suggestions?

Not sure if I should wait for XV6800 or purchase the i760.

I would appreciate anybodys opinion to help with my purchase decision. 😕

I currently have a Treo700p and want to make a change. Does anyone have experience with both the i760 and the 6800 that can help me make my choice. According to this site the 6800 is rated much higher. On top of that the i760 is not available in stores to hold and look at, only available on line. Can anyone help me out.

this is my first ppc i was trying to download the program iphonez but i couldnt do it kept sending me to a different site. need a lot of help

I've had my new phone for few days I like it so far, however I have two issues with it:
* In Landscape mode (when the display dims down) it start flickering (usually in Internet explorer, more visible when receiving data or ), i was wondering does anybody know if it's a faulty display or it has something to do with power management?

* The other issue is I don't get notified when new email arrives, I have it set to beep & flash. I receive the new email notification in messages but otherwise it doesn't do anything else, this is specially annoying when the screen in dark, i have to keep checking my phone for new emails. Any thoughts?

- I really hope someone can help - I can't seem to find anywhere where you can text with T9 or something to that affect from the front key pad -
The whole reason I bought this phone was because I wanted a PDA phone but I didn't want to text from that same keyboard at bottom of phone - when I say this phone with the number pad on the front - i could not Imagen it would not have some kind of T9 function from the front. - Please please help I really like the phone so far thanks again

i recently installed the ifonz app on the phone it is carzy awesome! however im trying to set up new short cuts for the homescreen, and i was woundering if anyone of you know how to set the storagecard as an icon/shortcut!!

Has anyone not been able to receive MMS messages? I can send MMS with no problems, this is very confusing. I have had my phone looked at by my local dealer and the problem couldn't be resolved. any helps appreciated.

My storage memory is decreasing and I don't know what is eating it up. I delet the web history, files and that stuff. I delete all messages. I haven't added any files to the device, yet the memory is decreasing.

Any suggestions?

Currently I have the old EnV, the one before the new voyager. I was thinking of upgrading to this but had questions based on the data usage. Is there any charge to sync programs and email through outlook through your computer? Can I access wireless internet, say from my router, without having to pay data charges? I guess I'm just confused on when the data will be used. I understand if I'm EVDO I will be charged. Thanks for any help.

This is a note for people like myself who need to reset their phones and may forget some of the e-mail settings they had.

If you're a Yahoo Mail Plus user, both POP3 and IMAP work great.

POP3:
Incoming Mail: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail: smtp.vzwmail.net
then click on Options, and on 2nd page:
select both "Outgoing Mail Requires Authentication" and "Use Separate Settings"
then click on "outgoing settings"
Username: yourphonenumber @vzwmail.net
Password: Your VZW online account password (make sure you have an account on "vtext.com")

IMAP:
Incoming Mail: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com

😢 I tried for two weeks to make it work, but the following were unacceptable, so I had to go back to my E815:

1) Terrible reception. My i760 dropped at least 10 calls per day. I got dropped calls at home, at the office and on the drive in between... is this normal for an i760?? Are others having this problem?


2) Voice recognition was completely worthless. With my E815 I could dial by name or by number flawlessly out of the box. The voice dialing on the i760 was worthless and I could not find anywhere to train it to my voice.

There were a lot of things I liked about the phone, like the numeric keypad on the outside, which I used often because the voice commands did not work...

Has anyone had any experience with a good BT GPS receiver and navigation software for the i760?

I am considering this phone and would like to know if anyone has issues with call quality on either side of the call?

I cannot seem to get the bluetooth to activate Voice Command when the phone is on "vibrate". It works OK when it is set to ring. Any ideas?

I think the "info" specs on phonescoop for the i760 are wrong, or can someone correct me on this.

I have a friend that has the i760, I recently just got the xv6800. I was talking to him about whether or not I should have considered the i760 instead when it was found that neither of us could find an iR port on the i760, also, checking in connection settings where my previous smartphones and current xv6800 all show "beam" for a connection (meaning iR) the i760 does not show that.

Does the i760 REALLY have an iR port or not?

If I down load pocket tv can I see tv & utube both? I hate downloading then finding out it doesn't work the way you want it to & having to uninstall it....takes more time then I have right now. Jo 👀
