Motorola W385
switching to/from vibrate mode??
or do you just have to open the phone and go volume all the way up or down?
to me its unacceptable if there isn't a quick way of switching...
anyone know anything about this?
This is also one of my complaints with this phone as well. Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but there is NO WAY to tell what the current ringtone the phone is using. The Moto KRZR K1M has the same issue, when you go into My Ringtones, the black bar stays at the top, and there is no indication to tell what the ringtone is. Not a big deal, I know, but someone really dropped the ball on this one.
Thanks Moto, you morons.

Sorry, to answer your question, there is no other way to toggle from ring to vibrate mode.
Thanks, Moto morons.
is there an easy way to switch in and out of vibrate mode like on the v325 where you can just hit the side buttons when closed?

What is the problem that some people are having and complaining about this??
It is just the same way it was on the 325.
Press the volume key once and then the smart key for less than one second for as many times as you need to switch the alert modes- silent, loud, vibrate, etc. If you hold the smart key down for more than one second it will turn off the keys. How simple is that? That's how it is with the USCC version and unless you have a different operating system like verizon it should be the same
