*777* info
Could you explain what the *777* does, and after I restart my phone, do I choose to ignore sids? What should I see on the display of my phone if it is working properly. I chose ignore, and now have a T on the display by the signal strength. Is that right? It is not clear to me, who doesn't know sid's, how to take advantage of this feature that is available.
Thanks.

SID/SOC Disable .. Ramifications of doing this?
I have the Cingular GAIT Nation Plan is there any finaical ramifications to disableing the sid/soc?
I did it on one of our phones for a couple of days. In an area where we were finding dead spots it now will flip over to T-Moble on the display instend of cingular. Since my plan says "No Roaming" charges will i get billed extra for using it when it said this? It does say cingular extended more often when in this mode also.
Would like some feed back on this if any one has any?

DBA-10 ?
Has anyone used the DBA-10 with this phone?
I'd like to establish a Bluetooth internet connection (GPRS and/or circuit switched) from my laptop using the phone.
Thanks!

777 code
Now that I have unlocked my phone with the *777* code, how do I lock it again? The master reset doesn't do it.

Dial-in modem capabilities
Has anyone gotten the T62u to receive a data call correctly? I can get a PC or router for that matter to dial out with the T62u to an ISP or another data network just fine. But when I try to dial-in the phone answers as a voice call not a data. I have changed Next Call to Data under the Call Manager section but it doesn't work. Yes, I have power cycled the phone too. The manual says the phone will not handle the data call by itself but instead notify the "application" (I have tried many dialer products here) that there is an incoming call. Yet it never does. Just answers as a voice call, generates no modem tones, than hangs up after 40 seconds. Can't get the Fax to work either. Any thoughts?đ

TDMA or GSM Plans with AT&T using the T62u
I really need someone to explain a number of things to me. I live in Queens NY and have had T-Mobile for 1 year now. The service is terrible. No service at my home and it seems to always be the same story where ever I go on Long Island.
So I am now thinking that maybe a phone that will receive all 3 signals will give me better service. I am also looking to change carriers. I have not made a choice yet but I am leaning towards AT&T since I have 5 people in my family and the add ons are only $9.99
Here are my questions...
1) If I purchase the T62u phone and have a TDMA AT&T service plan, do I have to take a GSM plan in order to be able to receive GSM service?
2) Assuming that I get the AT&T GSM service plan, will the phone automatically ...

DRS-11 not working?
âšī¸ I picked up a DRS-11 (knockoff) serial cable from ebay and I can't seem to find the right drivers or software for this phone. Can someone email me at slappy76 at yahoo.com or post a link to the software here. It's a pain to enter a name in manually. Takes WAY too long.
