TDMA or GSM Plans with AT&T using the T62u
So I am now thinking that maybe a phone that will receive all 3 signals will give me better service. I am also looking to change carriers. I have not made a choice yet but I am leaning towards AT&T since I have 5 people in my family and the add ons are only $9.99
Here are my questions...
1) If I purchase the T62u phone and have a TDMA AT&T service plan, do I have to take a GSM plan in order to be able to receive GSM service?
2) Assuming that I get the AT&T GSM service plan, will the phone automatically ...

I bought the T62u last Thursday and didn't want gsm but sales manager said no can do, gsm was primary and tdma secondary. Mind you the phone only works on tdma at my home due to lack of service where we live.
My phone is always reading roam and I'm being supplied service by Cingular at AT&T's expense. I quit Cingular 2 years ago because they would charge me roaming fees in my area. How crazy is that?

I insist it is because of overwhelmed cell sites but they are in total denial and insist I am the exception not the rule!
AT&T has been the perfect company for me over the last 2 years but in late August or September everything changed and my service fell apart. I am located 30 miles northwest of Boston, MA.

Everytime I talk to an AT&T CS person, I get a different story.
Can anyone tell me if I can use the T62 via Bluetooth and connect it to my Mac laptop?
No one at AT&T seems to have heard of Macintosh computers.
