Motorola ROKR Z6m

With the rokr I've been experiencing something strange. Every now and then, the phone likes to delete a contact or two. When I turn off and turn on, usually the contact in question comes back but recently, its been deleting and when I turn it off and back on, they don't come back. I back up my contacts on my computer with all the names and numbers I get on my phone so I am absolutely certain when this happens. As you can tell, this is rather inconvenient. Has this happened to anyone else?

Just got the ROKR (Alltel) and I need to know how to do seem edits, noob style.

I saw somewhere you can do a seem for "apply as ringtone" on mp3's.

I know someone is going to tell me to use my memory card and copy over to phone then use as ringtone but for some reason (probably the newer software sparko_x_02.0D.0BP) "apply as ringtone" doesn't show up.

That's the seem edit I want to try, I can't find anywhere if it's been tried before on the ROKR...

I tried some P2K downloads but they all had trojans, valid software is hard to come by these days.

Can someone please tell me how to get to the "hot messages"? I accidentally moved a locked text there and I have NO idea how to find it now.

I am confused. I have songs on my memory card that I loaded using jump music from Alltel. I would like to use some of those songs as ringtones. I think you need to copy the song to your phone and I tried that but it still does not show up in the section (Settings/Ring Style/Detail)which is where you choose sounds for calls.

If you have owned a motorokr...does it scratch much? Also, if you put it in your pocket and take it out much...will it hurt? Because I will be taking it out of my pocket and putting it back in alot in class while texting...

If someone could please help that would be great!!!

I just got a motorokr z6m with the latest update and so far lovee it! I text and slide, possibly too much...is that possible? Also, since I have the latest update is there anything else I should be worried about?

trying to put videos on phone and not sure what format they need to be in and if any one knows a good converter while there at it i would aprciate the help

I wanted to pick up a ROKR phone but one US Cellular server in town tells me there are software issues with it. The other US Cellular servers in town tell me there is not an issue with it. Anyone have the REAL TRUTH?

Anyone try installing downloaded software? Opera browser is what I want to use, you can download this http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/ to use to surf the net. Currently US Cellular is so nice to charge you per use of such a program, this would leave it installed on my phone to use whenever I want. Now I can see getting shot down with whether the Opera browser will or won't work for the phone, who cares. If there are thousands of different free programs out there then how do we give them a try on the phone over the usb cable? Most programs are .jar and . jad files. Has anyone used these before?

Just wondering, I've never owned a slider phone before so I'm wondering how fragile is the ROKR? Will the screen break if I drop it from like 5-6 feet or is it pretty durable?

Anyone have any new info on if/when this phone might drop for sprint?

Alright, So I've had my phone about 2-3 weeks.. and I'm having problems text messaging already. Most of the time it's good, but every now and again my phone will stop receiving texts all together. Even calling *99 won't help. When this kicks in sometimes it won't send them either..

I'm using MTS in Canada and was wondering if this is a problem with the Rokr or is it just my phone?

OKay, some kid dropped my Rokr on pavement. YES bad I know. The glass on the screen is shattered. But I can deal with that for now, But the phone won't cut on. After I picked it up it was still on, So I cut it off for some reason. Well now when I turn it on I just get the Motorola "M" And nothing else. I have Alltel. Anyone know anything I can do???? Just to get it to cut on!!!

Well, i got the phone for christmas a little less than a month ago and its ALREADY screwing up..i'm clumsy and all but i've only dropped it once and i dont think that really counts since it landed on my bed and all but i've been really really careful to keep it away from water and keep it from getting banged up and its still messing up.... heres the deal:

guy at alltel told me the battery would last 4 days but it barely lasts a day with me (maybe its because i text alot or either he was lying trying to sale it..idk..)

it freezes ALOT and i have to take the battery out for a few minutes and turn it back on

i can't get the music to go on it

its only happened a few times but when i slide it open it has restarted

So far it is my best phone, love everything that Moto privides on this Z6m. I have it since Jan 3, 08 with Metropcs, and have no any problems at all. The camera shoot very nice picture with large resolution, so as video. Pretty soon, I gonna get micro sd card to store all multimedia cause I 've been downloading so many mp3 and videos. Just to share info about this Z6m.

I just purchased a 1gb sd card and i added some songs to it.. they show up in my media files under sounds.. but when i go to options it doesn't give me the option to apply as ring tone or anything. nor was i able to apply any of the songs from the card as ring tones by going to edit contact and ring tone.. they just don't show up. i don't know if i need to change a setting as far as the storage device i want to use.. or how to do it, because i can apply tones that are on the phones storage to a contact as a ring tone. i don't know what I'm doing wrong... hopefully something because i would hate it if this is just not possible.. HELP please!!!

I have had 2 bad rokrs and they said I can't get another one since I have exchanged already! They said you can only exchange the phone 1 time which it crap b/c it isn't my fault that phone won't charge! I am getting fed up with the US Cellulars I have went to in my city(2). Can I only have one exchange when I pay monthly insurance and haven't had my phone for 30days? HELP!

I got my 1st moto rokr on Dec. 16th. I got rid of that one on Jan 6th b/c of the phone restarting itself. I got my new rokr and I now have 2 problems. It won't charge and it resets itself! I have charged that phome up for about 15 hrs and it will say its charging. When I unplug it, its says I have ONE bar and makes the low battery beep, resets itself and cuts off in about 3 minutes! I really like my phone byt these problems are getting on my nerves!

I got this phone 1 week ago, and almost every time that I open or close the slide, the phone resets. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Thanks...

Ok, just got the Rokr Z6M from US Cellular and I love it. I saw the post below and no, I have no texting problems, woohoo!

My question is, has anyone figured out how to create ringtones for this phone yet?
I have tried numerous ways and none work yet and I'd really like to create my own.

Any help or info would be great!
