Will it have gps?
Technically it does have GPS, because the FCC essentially requires it for CDMA E-911. But in this case it can only work for E-911 - nothing else.
Unlike most new CDMA phones, this one lacks LBS APIs.
LBS is Location-Based Services, meaning software or services you can initiate yourself that will know your location automatically (although only with your permission, of course.)
APIs are the "connectors" that allow software applications to communicate with specific low-level functionality, such as GPS.
Therefore, since the 755p lacks LBS APIs, it can't run LBS software.
Confusingly, it does ship with a special Palm OS version of Google Maps, which is LBS-enabled on other phones (Helio phones, for example). But the version ...

Logically to me it would seem that Cellular GPS would be more reliable (I do not know if this is the actual case or not) but it does sadden me that there is no way I can use my 755 as a backup when my MIO dumps me for greener pastures.
