8830 Calendar Reminder
I just got the BB 8830 & the calendar doesn’t work. I am able to enter an appointment with a reminder but it never rings/vibrates/flashes to remind me. I changed all the appropriate settings in my active profile. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a solution?

Hi, I had the same exact problem! There were a few other things wrong with my phone as well, so I just returned it during the 30 day period for a new one. I recommend you do the same. The technician at the store had the nerve/stupidity to turn the alarm on on the phone, and have that go off, and then tried to tell me that she fixed it!! I explained to her that she set the alarm (like the alarm to wake up, not the calendar) to which she replied that the alarm had to be on. I told her that this was obviously not true, and I felt that she was just trying to rush me out of the store. After getting my new phone, the calendar now alerts me as it should, and of course, it does this without the alarm being turned on.

I had the same problem. Got a new phone thinking that was the problem. With the new phone it worked UNTIL I RE-SYNCHED with my laptop. Once I re-synched, it seemed to restore everything about my device, including the problem where a calendar event does not notify/remind me on the device.
I do not know what setting this could be, but I cannot figure it out. Please help if anyone knows.

I was able to get a BB Ticket opened and they pointed me to this article that is a work-around for the issue.

Seems that on one calendar can be synchronized for the reminders to work.

You can also install the Bell Mobility software wich will fix he problem, newer updated version.
