One thing I've noticed are Samsungs are alot more popular among the company (AT&T) recently. It seems they are in on every price point. Not to mention the buy one get four free promo going on (philly market).

Sony has disappeared from stores and moto has only a few models (not counting all the colors)... v3, v3xx, v365, c168.

AT&T must be getting some really good deals for Samsung to be moving in so fast....

I think they should focus more on Nokia.... ;)

I agree... We just need some more appealing looking nokias... I love the 6126 because of the push to open button. Almost every customer I show it to agrees and ends up getting the phone. Not to mention the great reception, pretty good camera and the history of Nokia in general...

This is very true. I don't know what is going on with Sammy. I don't have a problem with it - the phones we've been getting are way badass. But my store only has 3 W810s left, and after that, NO MORE SONY. Sony is the GSM master, and without that I feel like we are crippled.

LG has been giving us awesome phones lately though. The TRAX leaves some sorely missed features out, but is still a cool phone.

I wish the Motorola V235 was a postpaid phone we could do for free. That phone performs very well for prepaid, I think it's almost too good for prepaid.

One thing is for sure, we need more low-end phones. Sorry, but the Nokia 2610 just doesn't cut it.

I agree we need some lower end phones.

We are out of inventory on all the low end phones except the 2610 and the 6085.

LG needs to update the lineup (face it, the cu400 blows)

Sony needs new models, any models ASAP.

Motorola needs something different than the v3 and all variants (v3xx included). 4 colors of the same phone does not constitute 4 models in my opinion. Lets get something new and exciting... the razr is old news as is the v3xx and even the v8/9. Same old stuff, with some edges trimmed off.

We could use a new slider since the d807 was dropped, and what about a qwerty slider (Pantech, i'm losing patience on the promise of this kind of phone from you)

I think not. I actually carry a v3xx and Curve regularly. But I also own and frequently switch to a w810 and most notably a CU400. The CU400 has been exceptional for me and my customers. It gets strong reception, has a solid classic form factor, and is just the right price.

But I'll agree, we do need better entry level handsets. From my understanding, LG has a hot new entry level handset coming to replace the cg225 and LG CU515 will be replacing the CU400. The Razr is actually stepping up to EDGE later this month (black and pink only) and I think the Razr is a perfect entry level handset.

I use that phone on prepaid and have to agree with you. It's a great phone and has lots of memory. (glad I went with it over the 6102i) I got a refurb for $50 with a new PYP account and I think it's the best deal I've gotten on a phone.

Because unlike the euro-based companies who think carriers should cowtow to their ways of thinking, Samsung will make phones to the carriers needs and wants.

Yea they are making the phones carriers want, but the SYNC has a history of the front screen cracking, as well as having sub par reception levels (most Samsungs have this problem). Maybe it depends on the area, but we usually stear the customer away from a Samsung if we can.

We've been selling Nokias lately (all nokias) like crazy and are having trouble keeping them in stock.
