Stay with Verizon or move to Cingular
I have been a Verizon customer for many years. I am starting to get tired that their phones always come out later then the other cell companies, they disable features and lastly their CDMA network does not work in Europe. Even the new 8830 that has GSM is locked so you have to use their cards in Europe. I have stayed with them because I have always felt that they had better coverage. I am very interested in the 8300 and know it will come to Verizon as a CDMA with features disabled much later. So I guess what I am asking is the following: For those of you who moved from Verizon to Cingular - was it worth it? Obviously it is worth it for the features - (by the way does Cingular lock certain features on the 8300 too?) Coverage is very im...

Considering taking back my Nokia N75 and trading for a Curve
Got the Nokia N75 last week, having a few issues as are many other users. I'm looking for a phone with good reception, personal email, calendar, camera, music, and contacts/address book that includes addresses. I live in a 3G area, but N75 drops calls when you leave a 3G area. Prior to the N75, I had a Treo 700W (verizon)that locked up constantly.
I've never owned a Blackberry but the curve sounds like it would fit my needs.
Any suggestions or comments?

Question about the size for someone who has it
I have the Pearl, and it is a good size for making a call with one hand and a good fit in the pocket. I would like a full keyboard, but the size of the 8800 was too much. I could not dial with one hand - my thumb is not long enough to hold the phone with the rest of my fingers and dial without dropping it. And it was just too wide to be comfortable in a pocket, how does the Curve compare on these issues? I know the measurements, I just want a real-life opinion.
CPU Speed???
I am guessing that this is going to have the same 312Mhz Intel CPU as the 8700. Does anyone know for sure?

Stereo bluetooth is great but no 2.5 mm jack is not a good choice...

Setting reminders and appointments...
How do you make it so that when an event reminder is set to go off, the phone makes a noise? I can't figure out how to set a ringtone or sound effect as a notification option. All the phone will do is vibrate âšī¸

GPS?
I have no interest in using TeleNav for $10 a month, but if I get myself a standalone GPS receiver will I be able to use it with google maps with GPS? I know from expeirience that google maps with GPS works good on the 8800. In theory it should work on the 8300 with a GPS receiver as well. Or, what about Kmaps? Anyone use Kmaps in a similar way?

Not Sure What People Want...
Here comes the shower of boo's for "another" non-3G Blackberry from at&t. Get over it. A 3G Blackberry is coming soon enough, relax. Everyone knows that when Blackberry does something, they do it right the first time. There is no trial and error here. The reason there hasn't been a 3G blackberry on at&t yet is probably because neither RIM or at&t are ready. Fine. Everyone complains about defective phones and poor performance about every new piece of tech that comes out. Yet the same people are the ones clamoring for the "new hotness" before it's even ready. Before everyone throws a tomato at this Blackberry, appreciate it for what it is. A new EDGE enable BB device that sports Stereo Bluetooth (a first for BB), a 2MP Camera (a first for BB),...

Luv this phone but.....
I'm not a big Blackberry fan but this REALLY caught my eye. I do have a question though. I work for a AT&T agent store and we don't do a lot of data. I went through a BB training and the rep told us that even though BB isn't 3G yet, it STILL offers great browsing speed because of the propriatary stuff BB has at their main office and because of the way the browser works...does this make sense and more importantly...is it true?

No 3g Cingular
Why would Cingular accept this phone or make any phones from now on without 3G. I dont get it.
I still think the Nokia E50 is still the all around best phone available....size style features and so on and battery life.
