Sony Ericsson W580 / S500

Hey all. I noticed the light effects feature on the s500i, and was wondering if it was possible to add this feature to the w580i. Is this a feature that is available on the w580i, or can it be added?

i'm a cingular, new att cust and the suspense is killing me 😢 🤤 ...it says the release is aug. for the w580, 😳 so how come a major carrier hasnt picked up one of these phones?? 😕 who know's who to contact because i was going to do a w810i thru warrenty exchange for a blckbrry 8100 pearl and they no longer have the walkmans...any insiders that can give us the scoop, or who to yell at?? lol.. 😁

Has anyone bought the w580 from at&t, and then had to return it because it crashed? I would like to know because I really want this phone.

Do you think that this phone will get the White Screen of Death like the w600i. 🙂 My w600i was the best phone I had until I that WSOD got me. Now I'm worried about getting another Sony Ericsson because of it. This phone looks great too.

I'm thinking of getting this phone or the N75 as my next phone. One of the main things I'm looking for, aside from call quality, is a good camera. How well does this phone record video? Will it be good for recording skating (skateboarding 🙄 )? Am I out of my mind for thinking a cell phone would record this well (even though my friend's razr doesn't do THAT bad of a job)? 😉

Okay, so does anyone know if this phone is going to come out for Cingular in August because I've been waiting for this phone to come out to Cingular! 😡

Bought it unbranded and unlocked for only $275 on eBay. Its so freakin sweet! I love the video ringtones on it! I set my friends up to have various music videos when they call. Just recorded the video with my camera & overlayed the sound with a ringtone (in M4a format). Love the flash themes! They change with the time & date! Its so light & thin! Overall, I am freakin happy!

Alright, so you all are saying that the w580 should be released from AT&T late August or the begining of September.
So who is the carrier for the s500? I know that i see it all over ebay, but would rather buy a phone from AT&T, just in case i would have any problems with the phone.

Anyone know which phone is better??

I suppose I could get these phones unlocked, but I've never done that before.

If AT&T is going to get either or both of these, I could get it at a discount...and hopefully they won't be crippled.

Anyone have a good idea as to when they will be available through AT&T?

I'm frustrated with my current phone and situation, and I can make the switch to another carrier at any time. That's why I'm asking so many questions.

Dobson has exclusive on this phone, we just recieved our shipment in yesterday!!! this phone rocks!! at&t will have to wait until the buyout is complete to get it... sorry guys!

I just got the s500 and i love it! Its cool as hell. Time to hand the w300 over the the little sister! Any know a good place for a theme creator for thsi phone?

No more Sonys without a 3.5 MM jack for this guy.
