Make calls while phone is closed
I heard that your able to access your contacts via the external screen, so can you make a call while phone is closed.

You are *not* able to access your contacts with the phone closed.
With some versions of the phone, you can read texts and reply to texts using the templates.
With other versions of the phone (AT&T) you are basically limited to using the media player. I am not sure why they did this, but it does prevent your activating features inadvertently, as I have done with some versions of the V9.
You are generally not going to be able to (or want to) make calls with the flip closed because the flip alters the microphone pickup capability by covering it.
You can perform seem edits that will allow you to listen to and even conduct a speakerphone conversation with the phone closed. I will often do this while listening to Webinars, but actuall...
