Voice Dialing and aplications
I'm going to have to switch carriers soon as my Sprint account does not reach my work place (I'm right on an international border and I constantly hit foreign cells resulting in very expensive calls). Enough of this crap though....
I'd really appreciate someone walking me through the voice dial procedure on this phone as voice dial is one of my most critical requirements. Presently, I have a Samsung MMA900 and it works like this:
* I open the phone
* The babbling phone lady says, "say a command"
* I say, "call Joe"
* The babbling phone lady says, "which number"
* I say, "mobile" or "home" or "whatever"
* The babbling phone lady dials the number
* If the babbling phone lady does not understand a command, s...

Google Earth I am not sure about. I have AGPS turned on with both my AT&T variant V9 and my Hong Kong variant V9, and they use Google Maps with GPS very well, although of course with AGPS you don't get quite as close to your actual location as you might with a Verizon or SprintPCS phone using the same application.
As far as the Babbling Phone Lady goes, the system works fairly well.
There are two different systems, the AT&T system being different from the Hong Kong variant. The AT&T US English system has an extra step.
The AT&T system says, "Say a command." Then you have to say, "Name dial."
With the international/Hong Kong variant, the UK English says, "Please say a command or name." You can...
