Getting RAZR2 V8 (GSM Version) Tomorrow.

My RAZR2 V8 should be in my hands around 4:30 PM tomorrow.
While I know its not the Verizon version or even the AT&T version, I can post some opinions on build quality, screens, RF, etc..

I'd be pleased with this. It'll essentially be the same phone on a different network. The only things I care about are build quality, reception, call quality and speakerphone quality, and these will essentially be the same on all phones, be it the V8, V9 or V9m.

I doubt it'll differ much. Chances are, if it's good on T-Mobile, it'll be good on Verizon, too. If its reception stinks, well, there goes my confidence in the CDMA version. Remember, the RAZR line uses the case as an antenna. The case is probably made out of the same material on the V8 as the V9m, so if the case picks up signal good for the V8, it probably will for the V9m, too.

I had a verizon Motorola E815 Best signal of any verizon phone ever...everyone says this...But i had a Motorola Z3 on tmobile and it was horrible. But my Nokia on Tmobile was great.

Maybe its just me..i dont know but were gonna find out soon. Either way for me unless theres a firmware hack to put java on it im not gonna get it.

You're not making a good comparison. The Motorola Z3 and E815 aren't even close to being the same models. The V8 and V9m share the same materials, same design and I would bet that the antenna mechanism is very similar.

You may as well compare an E815 with a StarTAC in that comparison you just made. CDMA Motorola's have a fantastic reputation with reception whi...
