Motorola RAZR2 V9m

All I want to do is easily get calendar data into the calendar on my phone. Sprint has blocked the "usual" way of doing this, so won't work.

Does anyone anywhere have any idea of a way to do this?

I am so ready for Sprint to release this phone. With the way the menu looks, the design of the phone, the features, just everything about it. Expecially the price. I am only 16 years old and will be buying this phone with my own money. It seems like time is going by so slowly and I'm just antsy about this. I think this phone will be the phone that BEATS everybody elses phone when I go back to school. 250 without a rebate is fantastic. Im going to get it. Is there a way to "force" the keypad backlight to come on for this model? Like the V3M you could just cover up the sensor. I've tried covering up the sensor at the top of the keypad on my Razr 2 and the keypad still won't light up. I haven't had to use it in the dark yet and just want to know that it will work since I can't get it to come on. I also couldn't find a setting in the menu to make it always on, does this phone even have a keypad backlight?!

I am trying to get ringers on my phone. I am with SPRINT and I am told that I can only get ringers from them! I would like to make my own ringers from the songs I like. Can anyone tell me how to do this for this phone? Seems to work on this phone with different carriers....I love the phone, but would love to have my own ringers on it! I don't mind making them myself, but I don't know how to do it!

I had our company phone guy ask about the V9M at our Altell store and was told they were discontinuing the phone. Does anyone know anything about this? I hate to get a phone that is being dropped or is this just another one of the name changes, such as from a V9m to V9c.

First before I write this review, this is MY review; so I don't want to hear the genetic replies like "Oh, you are using the phone incorrectly", "I never had those problems", and "Maybe your phone is just defective." Trust me, my take on the Sprint Motorola RAZR 2 V9m is coming from years using every type of phone, from every major carrier.

Pros:
1. Large inside and outer screen.
2. Sprint TV/Radio application works well.

Cons:
1. Does not support any of Motorola Bluetooth headset and headphones that I own. Even my new Moto stereo headphones that came out before the RAZR 2 even came out, don't even work.
2. Daily White-Screen freeze errors.
3. Text input in third-party app's in annoying. the "1" key cycles though characters that y...

Cant decide between the moto or the razr im gonna use the mp3 player a lot and i need it to be loud. I also like the idea of watching sprint t.v. on the external display.

I do wanna know if you can use the speaker phone with the flip closed that is actually the most important to me.

I'm going to return my V9M today and I was wondering if any of you were thinking of doing the same. I gotta say for $275 after tax, I'm not impressed at all. I will gladly return to my beat up and broken E815 until something better comes out. Some of my reasons for taking it back are:

1. Horrible battery time, I barely make it through the day with any charge left at all.
2. I hate the text messaging system all together. You can only send one picture message at a time and it feels necessary to tell you that every message has sent which interrupts the process of doing anything else.
3. It looks awesome but I'm not a big fan of the new fingerprint look. It gets smudges like crazy!


That being said I will say that the camera is amazing...

okay i bought a battery from ebay model number (bx50) i think,, anyway the battery that came with the phone was a 700mah, well i bought a 900mah, and wow i see a differance, by at least 35 percent increase,well i had to modify a bit the batery because it didnt go in right away, it was a little chuncky, i had peel the paper coating of the battery,just dont peel the sides because theres plastic peice that hold the battery,and you have to peel the paper thats inside the phone,but avoid peeling the (meid)number becuase you need that to activate your phone, well it was challenging becuase the battery door wont shut you have to put some force on it, but if you not handy like me it might be hard for you,one issue i had is that the phone did recogn...

Has nay one had any luck finding one that is compatible with the phone?

i just got a brand new razr2 v9m for verizon. its un-activated and im just playing around with it. my touch screen on the front isn't working. when i press the camera button it just vibrates a little bit and the camera doesnt open. whats wrong with it??

I know this phone has been on the market for quite a while now, so does anyone have any info as to when the price for Alltel will drop from the current 199.99 after rebate?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated because I am looking to upgrade my contract within the next month so I would like to know.

Well, I used this phone for a few days, then had to shut it off because I lost the charger. When I went to have it turned back on, it won't turn on! I charge it and it just blinks. Won't turn on at all! Anyone else have this issue?

can the RAZR2 V9m take an 8gig micro sd card?

I am reading here on the forum that the Razr2 has a mini usb. My older RazrV3C is also supposed to be mini usb. However when I compared the 2 phones at the store the connectors looked different. Can anyone confirm that my V3C car charger will work with the RAZR2?

I have the razr 2 v9m from verizon and i was wondering if anyone knows how to get album artwork on it. if u download a song from v cast there is always artwork, but not if you put music on it by sd card. anyone know? and does anyone know how to get those sound bar things that is advertised on the phone with music?

randomely when i recieve a call, i flip open the phone, and the screen is flashing the pause symbol... the call is connected but i cannot talk or hear anything. i have hit every button on the phone when this happens trying to un-pause it, but no luck. and im not using the mp3 player at all. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? or how to un-pause it? thanks.

After careful consideration, I chose the RAZR2 as my next cell after my 8300 began to look well, old. I love this sleek phone! Much better of a choice for me than my Glyde I'd bought originally with this New Every Two. The Glyde was much too much for my vanilla needs.

A question however: why does my RAZR2 have to have pictures moved to phone memory to use them for wallpapers? My old LG 8300 could simply read the files from the MicroSD card. Other than that, a great, sleek and simple phone!
