Yes my fellow verizon friends! Verizon's V9m failed testing so the phone will not be carried by verizon. The interactive manual has also been taken down. Hopefully they will fix the problem and get the phone next year.

There is none. Search his posts. He's a die-hard Alltel fanboy. It seems that someone that works for Verizon wouldn't be preaching Alltel everywhere he goes. Since Phonescoop says the two tentative providers are Alltel and Verizon, he's obviously just trying to stir up trouble by making Alltel look like the sole provider. That way, everyone on VZW waiting for the phone will buy something else and jump the gun. People like him should be permabanned via their IP.

i remember similar rumors for the V710 and the first RAZR carried by Verizon. And the phones were both available when expected -- but usually more towards the end of the quarter it was projected to be available.

The phone received preliminary approval in June. It won't receive ship acceptance until the patent dispute is cleared up.

Patent dispute will not be a problem for Verizon Wireless anymore. Verizon has cut a deal with Broadcom to bypass the ITC ruling.
