I spoke to a Verizon phone-rep last week. She said they have No word on the razr 2. She also said that Verizon's 3rd Qtr. starts in October not July. I guess when they have it they'll have it!

the tentative release dates on phonescoop go by calendar year Quarters, not company specific fiscal Quarters.

Actually at one point the V9N said release date JULY for the v9m and v8...the V9 is the only one that said 3rd quarter....the V9m changed to 3rd quarter just recentlly on phonescoop

I've had the U740 for a couple of weeks, and really like the qwerty keypad. I've always liked LG, and this is my first Samsung. But I am hyped about the Razr 2, mainly because I think it looks great with the large front screen and some of other features I've been reading about on Phonescoop's review. I haven't been a fan of the original Razr because everyone seems to have it. But with the "coolness" factor of the new Razr 2, I might be willing to sacifice the qwerty keyboard.
I noticed on Verizon's website, they've got the promotion with the orange EnV and LG 8700 till 7/31. Maybe this means a new phone (hopefully the Razr 2) is coming out 8/1?? I hope!
