I am so ready for Sprint to release this phone. With the way the menu looks, the design of the phone, the features, just everything about it. Expecially the price. I am only 16 years old and will be buying this phone with my own money. It seems like time is going by so slowly and I'm just antsy about this. I think this phone will be the phone that BEATS everybody elses phone when I go back to school. 250 without a rebate is fantastic. Im going to get it. Because Verizon makes this phone look horrible. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐

... ๐คจ Enjoy being the envy of your friends while you can, it will get VERY old soon just like the previous RAZR's. I have an iPhone ready to go to school with and it's already boring me...
...
I'm doing the same thing as you. I'm on aplan with my mom and buying the phone with my own money and 250 isn't bad at all but I dont think it will get old in a month.

Yeh. Im not on a plan yet thats why I want sprint razr2. 250 1snt nothing but a piece of pie. The features on this phone have me stuck on it. My family is trying to persued me to not get it but I am totally going for it. I have to have the best phone. And to the guy with the IPHONE. I didnt even think twice about getting that phone because it looks nothing like the RAZR2 and the features are different way different and I love the razr. ๐

dudes, the razr2 will get old so quick its not even funny!! im also looking for a phone that is unique and different from anyone else's phone at school. at first i was considering getting the razr (from verizon)but i realized that so many people are into this phone that everyone is going to buy it.(also verizon is going to cripple this phone to the extreme.) so my new phone for school is going to be the xv6800. i think its the craziest phone ever, and this phone will not get old soon like the razr!im also 16 and how many sixteen year old do u see waking around with pocket PC phone?
...
Why do you think the razr2 will get old? It took the first razr YEARS to get old. Everyone is going to buy the krzr so there will be less people with razr2's, making it less common so it won't get old that fast. Trust me
...
i still think that the razr 2 will get old very fast. the reason that the first razr didn't get old (as fast) was because when the razr came out, cell phones in general weren't that popular, and also people that did have phones had never seen a phone that was so expense and many people didn't bother buying the phone. when the price of the phone started to go down and people, (young generation) started to become more fond of phones thats when veryone started to get the razr.and now that everyone has the razr, and those who liked it but are looking for the next big thing are going to purchase the razr, making it old quick!!!! ๐ ๐
...
Another reason why it will get old (maybe even faster than the first Razr) is because the first Razr was only available through Cingular and if you look at the Razr2, it's going to be available to almost every major cell phone provider within this this year. I was one of those kids who wanted to get the first generation Razr. The only thing stopping me was that I was on Verizon Wireless and I didn't want to pay the termination fee. If only the Razr was going to be available to all the major cell phone companys off the bat just like the Razr2, I would have my Razr already. I must admit, it's a really nice looking phone. All the more reason for more people to get it!! ๐

Well in my opinion. The razr2 may sell as fast as the first razr did but people made a mistake byin the first razr because It was jus a plain motorola phone. It didnt have the features that the new razr will have. I mean look at all the features that attract kids. Kids like flip phones with music and camera. Not anything like the Iphone. What teen do you know that is going to feel excited about pulling that out? I wouldnt because the razr2 is something new. Something to behold. You have camera, video, mp3, touch screen, i mean everything i love in the razr. plus it flips. if i cant get the razr2 i wud get the vx9400 from verizon but i hate verizons ui and how they take everything out of the phones.

Well I just got the Sprint RAZR2 and I have to say I'm impressed. This baby does ALOT for such a small package. A couple of things that I've found that stink are I can't bluetooth my pics and music over from my other phone and the vibrate ring is a bit weak. I'll find a way around the first thing though. It's got good battery life and I use a lot of data, so far so good. One more thing the 65k screen is amazing...I've never seen such good quality on a screen that small. I'm pretty darn happy. ๐

Well i just went out and bought the Samsung U520 from alltel because I needed a phone badly and i couldnt wait for the RAZR n e longer. The u520 is an alright phone. I just dont like the fact that I cant set mp3's as ringtones, do other things while listenin to mp3, and i cant put wma songs on my phone. This phone pissed me off until i started loving it more and more. But my plans are to still go out and buy the razr2 by January when my birthday comes around. Maybe the price will go down. Hopefully1 Does anyone know if you can set mp3 as ringtones on the razr2? because it will make me mad if i cant. and if you can do other things while listenin to music (such as text)?

What about the reception?
I need a new phone now. (My wife lost hers yesterday.) We need one with great reception because of where we live. The K1m is supposed to have very good reception, does anyone know how they compare? I have a Sanyo 8300 which has great reception, and need features as well as reception.

Who cares if it "gets old" several months or years down the road? Why would you want to buy an LG? I don't know about you guys, but I like phones that work in fringe areas, not drop calls left and right.
I used to buy LG. I used to have to go outside my house to make calls. You should have saw me in rainstorms. I'd have to sit in my car and the calls would drop every minute. Now I buy Motorola and my phone works in my BASEMENT. I made sure both my parents and my brother bought a Motorola, too. Guess what? We ALL have perfect service at our home. No dropped calls, crystal clear. I have an E815, both my parents have V325's and my brother has a v3m.
Have fun with your LG's. Remember, when we're stuck in the woods somewhere, yo...

Reception is why I bought the Sanyo 8300. Sanyo and Motorola have the best reception of available Sprint phones. Some HTC phones also have good reception.

The v9m had terrible reception.

A little word of advice. Never buy a phone just because of the look and the possibility of popularity... like others said, it will get old quick. Plus, when you get stuck with a phone you dont want that doesn't work for you. You will get mad and wonder why you had spent so much on it.
Plus the phone is $400 without rebate...$250 when you have the max 22 month rebate qualifications met.
