Can anyone let me know if the V9m can record conversations during the call and is the voice dial software actual voice recognition with digit dial or is it the type you need to add a voice tag to each of your contacts?

No voice tags are needed. Just say "Call xxx" and it will ask you which number, work, home, or mobile.
