the battery issue
okay i bought a battery from ebay model number (bx50) i think,, anyway the battery that came with the phone was a 700mah, well i bought a 900mah, and wow i see a differance, by at least 35 percent increase,well i had to modify a bit the batery because it didnt go in right away, it was a little chuncky, i had peel the paper coating of the battery,just dont peel the sides because theres plastic peice that hold the battery,and you have to peel the paper thats inside the phone,but avoid peeling the (meid)number becuase you need that to activate your phone, well it was challenging becuase the battery door wont shut you have to put some force on it, but if you not handy like me it might be hard for you,one issue i had is that the phone did recogn...

The BX50 battery is not made to work with the slim battery door that comes standard on the RAZR2. That's why you are having trouble with the fit. Get the standard battery door and you will have a much nicer fit. Also you will not have to modify things and worry about battery leaking and buying insurance because you are worried about battery leaking. You can even go to a BX80 which is 1300 mah.

Also, don't worry about a short circuit. As long as it is the same Voltage (which it is) it doesn't matter the Amperage. 🙂

My battery question is that when I try to recharge the battery with the phone turned OFF, nothing happens. I have to turn the phone ON in order to recharge the battery. This seems odd. Is it peculiar to Motorola cell phones?
