Samsung Gleam SCH-U700 / Muse

does anyone knows how to change your number on it if so what number do you call

Someone said they figured out how to lock the front keys but didn't say how they figured it out. I didn't even know they would lock until last week when I saw the little lock symbol up there and the keys were locked...thank God. But then I had to turn off my phone and turn it back on and they are unlocked.

I have no idea how I managed to lock them in the first place so don't know how to do it again.

Please help!!!

Can anyone verify that the Gleam will take advantage of Class 4 speed, or of cards larger than 2GB?

I have tried the 510 Plantronics, the Kyocera speaker/headset model, and recently the Cardo 620.
When new I tried the Mororola 500-550, whatever it
is. Never cared much before the CA driving laws took effect but now I need one that works. I am also thinking that maybe none of them work and it's the way the phone handles the voice recognition. I say "call mail" and it says "did you say call mandy"?. Not even close. Any good experiences with this phone and Bluetooth? Thanks

I know you if you have the settings set to auto open text messages that they are open on the front screen so you do not have to open the phone to read them but i wanted to know if you do not have it set to auto open if it is possible to do something to be able to open it on the outside.

I've seen this phone in blue on the samsung website and other sites. Is verizon planning on releasing the blue version at all? Not a big fan of the gold...

Does anyone know if you can load mp3 ringtones onto this phone with bitpim and a data cable?

I downloaded some ringtones from Get It Now through Verizon. They are so loud it is earsplitting. It seems the phone only has two settings, super loud or vibrate, no matter what the setting on the master volume is. Any suggestions on what to do?

I have not closely looked at this phone, I read the specs on phonescoop, is it true that there is not a vibrate feature on this phone?

why cant they make the gleam in a normal color? not purple, not gold, a simple black.

I can't submit a second review and my first wasn't sufficiently critical. I spent some additional money on this phone for additional "accessaries" and I'm not happy!

After less than 60 days of ownership, I've spent full retail for another phone (LG VX8350) because of so many problems with the Gleam. The jack reciever for the headphones took very little abuse...carrying it in a waist holster with earbud jack in caused only a few pulls the wrong way (and not hard) before the ear phones...any earphones..will, now, not work properly.

Reception became increasing poor and, yesterday, I couldn't even get a single bar. I was previously disgruntled with the poor reception. Places like the grocery store and Home Depot were "no cell call ...

Is there a way to put the phone in "silent mode" without opening the phone? I tried holding down the side volume keys, but that doesn't seem to work. Do I have a disfunctional phone, or does the Gleam not offer this functionality? Thanks.

Does anybody who has this phone know if Bluetooth printing is actually supported?

How do you check your text or missed calls from the front screen. Some reviews have said you can do that. Please let me know. Thanks

I have not been able to change the ringer volume for incoming calls. It only rings at about half the max play volume. I have read the manual and tried everything. Probably user error. Can anyone pass on the secret?

hey guys, i just got this phone and so far so good. a couple glitches i ran into and was wondering if anyone else did too -

1. "searching for svc" banner shows often when it's not really searching for service.

2. the "alarm only" function does not work - alarm does not sound.

spoke to a vzw rep and was told they're coming out with software to fix these issues, but i was wondering if i have a defective phone or if anyone else ran into the same problems? thanks.

Is it possible to have a certain ringtone and text ringtone for different contacts on this phone?

I am considering getting this phone and I was wondering how many call history it shows.

My last phone, the RAZR only saved about 10 missed called which became a big problem for me. 😢 By night, the calls I missed in the morning were gone and that was very bad. ☹️

I am still not sure if I should buy this one or not.
