Sharp Sidekick LX 2007

i got my lx and i want it to alert me right away when i get a text but it only guves me the option of being alerted two to ten mins. after i get it can some one help me please

Ever since the most recent OTA update, my phone occasionally stops displaying all text other than the first character on the line. Example, when I open a text message, all the first letters on each line display , but nothing else. I called T Mobile and they said they would call back in 2 hours, but they never did. =\

Only fix so far is restarting the phone...

ok so i plan on buying a sidekick soon
but one problem, i don't know which one i want
SLIDE: i like the color of the scarlet slide
and how sturdy the sliding mechanism feels
i don't know about the keyboard though
i'm a 17 yr old boy and i have pretty large fingers
and i like the overall shape of the slide
LX: LOVE the screen, great keyboard
like having a flash for the camera
(even though the camera sucks, slide's camera is better)
i don't really like how big it is
and how flimsy the swivel feels
also don't like that there is less internal
memory than the slide
and now that they are the same price
i'm really stuck!
(i would get the brown skLX absolutely hate blue)
any comments or suggestions would be great

i have a sk lx that has been cable unlocked. I want to update to the new firmware so i can have all the new goodies that it comes with. I am wondering if the phone will relock if i update it or not. If someone could let me know that would be great.

all i know is a new one in the works becuz i just got saying here at the office how iphone was gonna release a firmware to the iphone 1, and how i phone 2 is really gonna be just g3 upgrade but i guess i have to see what else is in the update and ill let yall know

I'm curious if I could put Opera on a sidekick lx. Id like to be able to check out Youtube and what not.

I just got the sidekick and I want to customize its ringtone but have no ideas where to go. I've used a Dash, n pearl before and this LX is sorta confusing to navigate around.

Has anyone bought any?

I just got the sidekick lx and it takes way way longer to retieve my aol mail than it did on my sidekick 3. Anyone else having this problem? Also, does anyone know how to set up the phone so you can view videos on tiny tube?

As someone who runs a T-mobile kiosk in the middle of a shopping mall. Not only is it our most popular phone, but it's the pioneer of messaging phones. Why do you think all the other carriers started carrying messaging phones. Because the sidekick sales have been solid for going on 5 years all the way back to the orginal sidekick. T-mobile isn't stupid either they continue to keep interest level going by coming out with new models and improving the device. The sidekick ID is only $50 now making ita affordable to almost everyone.

this and all the other sidekicks are bad phones. get over it 😉

hi.. so im 28 yrs old and dying to leave this whole blackberry world for a while... just want something new. Looking into the sidekick lx or slide.. question 1.. this is supposedly targeted for the "younger market" thinking teens... so am i too old for it.. lol serious question. 2nd question if i do opt to change to sidekick.. which one do i go for LX or slide.. i love the slide feature but the keyboard looks like it was made for a child playing with a toy. plus the keyboard isnt as comfy as the LX. The LX is bigger and bulkier yet looks more grown up and has a great keyboard and large screen. Ah what to do?!

I love Sidekicks, although am in huge debate about what sidekick should i get. I saw both are incredible, but i have to decide myself in one. Which one is the best??? Ive been trying to use my new insignia bluetooth headset with my sidekick LX and it doesnt seem to be working. This is depressing because I spent a fairly large ammount on it. Any clue how to make it work?

I went into Best Buy a few weeks ago and they are selling the lx for $180 with new actv/2 yr contract....its under their new launch of Best Buy Mobile. I didn't see it up on their website but definitely check out your local store.

Was looking at the specs for the phone, and it notes that OPP only works w/a V-Card... what does that mean exactly?

Reason I ask, I have a co-worker w/one of these phones that I'm trying to transfer files to (mp3's, etc), and I'm using a Cingular-based LG CU320 to no avail.

Any ideas on how this can be done? Thanks!

Zoom for the camera

A case that will protect the #$%@ thing so it doesn't get all battered like the one I have (and I don't mean that black nerd pouch that it came with in the box).

Is it just my monitor, or is the color poop brown?
Is it scratch and sniff too?
