LG Venus VX-8800

I have problems texting other people. Sometimes they will get my messages other times they wont. Any ideas???...I've already gone to the store and they put a support ticket in. anyone please help me!!!

Well I must be doing something wrong. I have installed a 4gig mini and the phone reads it fine. I've transferred pictures and video from the phone to the card. Everything works fine. When I pull the mini and insert it into an external reader nothing shows. No pictures, no video, no folders, nothing. BITPIM shows there is something on the card in the phone but with 0 bytes. Help.

I recently noticed that I was straining to hear callers through the earpiece. I went to the Verizon store and dialed *228 on the floor models to hear the volume. It seemed, by comparison, that my volume was down by at least 25%. After loading new software into my phone,the technician agreed with me, and replaced the phone. No hassle. (Phone was 2 months old).

My phone has been working perfectly for a few months now. But suddenly whenever I turn my phone on, before it goes to the main screen, a white screen pops up and said loading applications. Does anyone else have this problem...a fix? Thanks

Hi. I just upgraded to the LG Venus and I really like the phone, but I have an issue with how distorted peoples voices become when turning the ear volume up at high levels. My previous LG VX 8100 did not have distortion at high levels. When I am in a loud area I have to turn the volume up to hear the person on the other end, and their voice becomes annoyingly distorted. Does anyone else have an issue with the phone like this, or are they this way? Is there anything I can do to correct this? It just seems like sound quality at higher volumes should not be distorted.

has anyone else had a problem with their phone that there is no sound. the phone does not ring and you cant hear anything if you make a phone call. i've had to take my phone back twice to verizon and they said they've never had anyone else return it for that reason.

Does anyone know when there will be a software update and if it will speed up the touch response? Really my only issue with this phone is that the touch screen seems a bit delayed.

I was in a VZW store and while playing with a demo pink venus, I noticed that it had several different preloaded pics in the My Pictures section (pink flowers, and a few other pink hi-res designs) that were not included on the black venus. I went to a store closer to my house the next day to swap my black venus for a pink and noticed on the second store's demo, that the pink pics weren't included. Anyone with out there with a pink venus? Can you confirm for me that the pics are, in fact included on your phone before I go through the trouble of returning my phone?

Yesterday I was playing around with the new Voyager and the Venus. I love my Envee and thought the Voyager would be the clear choice, but I love the smaller size of the Venus. So much easier to slip in a pocket when on my bike. I don't do a LOT of texting, but I do enter a lot of reminders in the calendar and wondered if there are any Venus users here that miss the qwerty keyboard?

I was able to handle the Black/Pink Venus today as one of my co-workers had just upgraded. There was no denying how handsome the handset was when the slider was closed and viewed from the front. Looking at the sides and back though I couldn't believe how cheap the phone looked. Even if all cell phones are still made mostly with plastic, I can pick up most of them and not immediately feel "cheap." Any thoughts?

is the venus a good phone to get or is the touch annoying bc i had the voyager and all the touch was annoying but this one has half touch so how is it?

Looking for my first Bluetooth phone, must work with my I-Mac. Apple says to check with phone store and of course they say check with apple, Go figure! Anybody Know?

I have several books on a 4 gig micro sd card, is there something special I have to do have them show up in the music player? They are in the MP3 format and the phone recognized the card and that there is information on the card but the files don't show up under any of the file headings (music/vids/pics)

1. When you make a call without opening the phone, or receive a call, how are people ending that call without having to hit the stupid unlock button on the side and then the end key? I am resorted to opening and closing the phone to end calls.

2. I used bitpim to transfer some photos and ringtones to the phone, worked great. I have set up a picture for wallpaper and it didn't stretch to cover the whole screen it was centered and looks great. But for everyone one of the pictures that are set up for contacts, they all stretch to the screen size and some pictures look really bad when stretched. How would I get this to center a contact picture and not stretch?

I just picked up the Venus and am in the market for compatible Bluetooth Headset. I gave the Plantronics Voyager 520 a try, but I ended up getting plenty of static on my end when the phone was anymore than 2 feet away.

I am aware that you can find some great deals online, but I'd only like to spend about $50 - $60. Any suggestions?

ok not only does the touch screen not always work when u press it but its slow as h*ll!!! its like using a motorola! are there going to be any software updates coming out soon? if not i want to take it back

my Venus just got faster like 30 minutes ago. the touch screen is more responsive and it knows when u opened and close the phone faster on the screen now.. this is really weird. everything is working fine. do u think verizon fixed something?? this kinda sucks cos i was gonna get the voyager but now i don't have any complaints lol..maybe its a good thing!

I have turned on the vibrate mode. When I receive calls I can hear it but it doesn't vibrate. I sometimes cannot hear the ringer at work and my old LG would do both. WTF?? does the venus not support both modes at once. I tested the vibrate by setting it on vibrate only, and it did vibrate, but it was kinda weak. can anyone confirm this? thanks-

I added ringtones through bitpim and on those ringtones my phone won't vibrate and ring at the same time. I then set the ringtone to one that came with my phone and it vibrates and rings. How come it won't vibrate and ring when set to a custom ringtone. This sucks, anyone have this same problem. Also anyone figured out how to center a picture without it stretching to screen size?
