BlackBerry Pearl 8130

I've seen lots of people in many forums bashing Verizon for charging their customers to use VZ Navigator. My question is "just how often do the Sprint customers use the navigation on their phones?" Personally, I bought myself a Tomtom a few months ago, had fun with it for a few days, now it just sits in the glove box. Please be honest with your answers.

My wife bought this phone today not for any other reason than,it's pretty pink.Period.
She has always owned a regular cell phone,
Is there any web sites she can learn how to use this phone like how too's besides the book they give you.
Something with pictures maybe.

On my old Verizon Blackberry, and on my work Blackberry Curve, texting is threaded so to speak. So I can see my texts along with the ones from the person I'm talking to all in the same screen, like a conversation (I know we all know what this is, but wanted to clarify anyway).

I just got a Pearl and it doesn't seem to do this. Each text (sent and received) is displayed individually. Is there a setting to switch this? I really liked that feature and was hoping they didn't abandon it.

I currently have a chocolate - love it. I'm considering a BB for the following reasons:

I'd like email access - probably not to work, but at least to home. Not sure I'd use a TON, but it would be nice to have. Would consider looking into whether or not my web based work MS Outlook OWA can be linked to it without vpn or not....

I really want to be able to sync with my Outlook calendar and possibly tasks. I miss my pda for that reason. When I travel, it would be nice. Currently I sync to my ipod, but I can't make changes to that on the fly.

Web access would be another added bonus: probably ebay, a few message boards, shopping type sites....is that a reasonable expectation of the BB or are they limited in what the web can do?

I cannot tether my pearl to use as a modem. After running vz access manager and getting to the last part where you plug the pnone in and hit next. It wants me to manually setup a modem. The modem is there, vz access manager won't go any farther.

Anyone else having problems?

Is it possible to store your contacts on the SD memory card rather than on the actual phone? If so I think this would clear the memory.

Any thoughts?

I just got my new pearl today and i'm having trouble bookmarking web pages other then on the home page i can't even see the add bookmark section or the bookmark folder. Also other then on the home page section I can't find the Go To tab either which is getting really annoying if anyone can help me fix this problem thanks. Oh and I have the 8130 on Sprint not Verizon.

Is Opera Mini 4.0 supported by the verizon pearl? On the opera site it states that it does not support it(see link). I loaded over the air with no problem and everything seems to be working. Just wondering.

For Verizon customers.

If I download and use google maps does verizon charge you? I have the 29 dollar plan and don't want to get nailed with a higher bill. Also the map provided on the phone is this through verizon? I haven't touched it as I'm new to the BB and don't want to get nailed.

Also I here everyone talk about opera browser is this a cost increase with verizon.

I recently set up my email account on my Pearl. My problem is now ever new email I receive, Junk or from one of my contacts is forwarded to my phone. Is there a way to NOT have my junk mail sent to my phone?. thanks for any help

When connected to the web can you watch the weather radar and the radar in motion. It uses Java on my home computer, is this supported on the phone?
