LG Glimmer / UX-830 / Vantage / Spyder

Is there a way to default T9 when creating at text on this phone, or do I have to change it every time I wanna send a message?

I have bluetoothed a lot of ringtones from my old phone to this phone, but am unable to set the tones for contacts or any incoming calls. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to do this or has any advice? Thanks!

Does anybody know hhow to upload any games on this fone... I have us cellular and I was trying to upload Superbluetooth on it but I don't know how.. Thanks a lot

I want to simply sync this phone with outlook. I've read somewhere that you can do this via bluetooth. Anyone have any luck doing this?

When i try to lock a video file , i see a lock sign on the file .But i can reopen it again whithout typing any code or other stuff.I wonder if u guys can help me? thanks for advance!...

I just purchased this phone and was going to play around with it. When i plugged the USB cable into my phone and computer it says to insert the disk for it. I don't have the disk so I was wondering if there was a way around this so I don't have to spend another 50 bucks just so I can get music etc on the phone. If anyone knows a way around this let me know. Thanks

hey all. i sell cell phones for 3 carriers and i have been so excited about the competition that has popped up for the iphone generation. the glimmer, i had incredibly high hopes for and even higher when they addressed the ascending ringer issue 'quickly' (couldve been much faster).

i'll start off by saying no place for the stylist but looping the string through a little hole? not nice.

the keypad sucks. its just so cheap feeling. it's razorish. blah is all i can really say. texting sucks on it, but i'm getting use to texting on the touch screen. so if you're a mad texter, i wouldnt convince you to get a glimmer. at all. =(

Since the available manuals are completely useless on these subjects, how do I get either of these to work.

I've managed to set a voice dial for my home number but for the life of me I can't figure how to get it to dial when I say the word.

Also how to you activate/deactivate speaker phone.

I'm only an IT Consultant. I guess I'm not technical enough. 😁

Does anyones Glimmer sound fuzzy??? When I am talking on the phone there is a hissing noise between me and the person on the other end which makes my conversation sound fuzzy! When the phone initially connects it makes a loud click noise and then I start to her the hissing/static noises and it stays there throughout the conversation. I have full bars when this happens and I have traded the phone in twice thinking it was the phone itself. A cell rep said it could be a software issue....... Is this normal.....it is driving me NUTS!!! I might trade back the phone for good if this is the way it normally sounds. I have never owned an LG before??? Please HELP!!! Is there any way I can fix it????

does anyone think this phone can be flashed to run the lg dare software? i know it doesnt have the accelorometer, but it would still be nice 🙂

i was just wondering if this phone allowed bluetoothing from one phone to another (i.e., ringtones, songs, pictures, etc) because i love everything about the phone but that is the determining factor for me. please respond asap so i can get it now if it does!! thanks!

Does anyone know if the Glimmer comes with a chat client? Or if one is available for download?
With my Samsung u520 (from Alltel), both AIM and Yahoo chat client software came already installed on the phone.

Just letting everyone know that while we will not be able to provide a fix for the ringer increasing slowingly, we are able to do something else for you:

Your phone rings 5 times when someone calls you, by calling into Alltel we can make your phone ring 6 times, allowing you an extra ring to get to your phone. If 6 still is not enough, we can do 7 but i will use your airtime. The ringing process cannot last over 30 seconds, and 7 rings goes over that limit, therefore you will be using your airtime for everything over the 30 seconds, and THIS IS FOR EVERY CALL. I hope this helps you, as we try to provide the best for our customers.

i am new to alltel. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what file types the glimmer accepts for ringtones/easiest way to transfer them to the phone. i have a 2gb memory card and card reader for it. any GOOD ring tone sites (preferably FREE!)? also, i have some local bands songs i wouldnt mind making into ringtones if anyone knows a program to do that with?? I saw in the page for the glimmer here that the phone is sideways when showing the camera. Therefore, I am wondering can it take pictures sideways (and have the screen reorient itself) and use a side button as a capture? Because if it could be used like a camera in that respect that would be awesome!! Thanks for any info you can provide...
