I just purchased this phone and was going to play around with it. When i plugged the USB cable into my phone and computer it says to insert the disk for it. I don't have the disk so I was wondering if there was a way around this so I don't have to spend another 50 bucks just so I can get music etc on the phone. If anyone knows a way around this let me know. Thanks

There is a very easy way around this. A micro SD card with a reader. You can buy a 2GB off ebay for around $10 and a reader for around the same.

Actually, if he's trying to put ringtones on the phone, there is no other way aside from buying it from his cell provider. If it's just to put his own backgrounds on the phone then he could just transfer via bluetooth if he doesn't have a microsd card. Even if he does, he can just get a microusb cable and put the phone in "usb mass storage" mode from the settings menue.

If you're wanting to whole songs on the phone the safest and easiest way is to purchase a MicroSD storage card (up to 4GB). Once changing the menu settings to USB Mass Storage it's pretty easy to just drag and drop your media to the card. The supported media files are MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+.

If you're looking for just adding custom ringtones I'd suggest using the website Myxer.com. It has a large variety of photos and ringtones that are sent via MMS (picture message) that you can then store and use as ringtones. The site also has videos and games that our network doesn't CURRENTLY support YET ;)

Hope that info helps you out!
