Cons: Phone looks kind of cool, but after handling a new one for about 1 minute, I saw how quickly this phone will be smudged and scratched. The main lcd is lower resolution and looks a lot worse than the decent screen on the Katana and Katana II. No color outer display is a downer too. VGA camera, seriously, what's the point in a camara with such low res?

Pros: It is a Sanyo, so it should be pretty reliable. Good first phone for your 14 year old daughter or for someone that wants a camera phone, but doesn't know what a megapixel is ๐Ÿ™‚

I would have to agree... however, not as an excuse, but most phones coming out now seems to fingerprint/smudge easily. If Sprint makes this a "free" phone, it could be pretty successful.

on the bright side sanyo has never really cared about cool phones or great cameras. They care about the inportant stuff like reception and thats why the are such a vital part to sprint's business.

I can't believe they still haven't implemented Sprint's power vision instead of just vision. I was looking to upgrade to a Katana and was waiting for a new one with power vision because I hate the DLX but I guess I'll just switch to a blackberry. DAMNIT!

Not everything needs to be 3G. That's not the market for this device. It's a "style" phone for people who don't even know what their phone has a web browser.

I might actually be getting this phone. All I do on my phone is call people and send/receive text or pic messages. I don't even do the pic messages very often, so a better camera isn't a big deal to me. Granted, a better camera would be nice for transferring the pics to my PC, but it's not a necessity; I have a camera. The style is way cooler than the Katana II, and the screen resolution being worse isn't really a bad thing because it allows longer battery life, which is much more important to me.

Ultimately, I'm thinking about going from the Samsung u740 to to this phone mainly because I don't use any of the fun features the u740 has; I discovered I just don't need my phone to do much more than send/receive calls and messages! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
