I know at&t phones are ran on sim cards, so could I put my t-mobile sim card in it?

The phone is locked, its not very hard nor very expensive to get it unlocked. There are several reputable online sources for that.
It will work on TMO, but only on Edge, no TMO 3g.

no if you buy the phone at the full nocontract price they will unlock it for you i know i work there. the only phoe they wont ulock for you is the iphone but that is simple enough to do your self.

When it comes down to it, if you really need the phone unlocked, it can be done for like $25 or so from online providers. I mean I hear complaints that, I don't pay, I won't pay, well then wait the 90 days, or beg, or see, and run yourself nuts for several days, or just fork down the money, one does pay for their sanity.
More then likely xda-dev will have a free unlock sometime very soon, just has they have had for the Tilt, 8525, and 8125.
