Apple iPhone 3G

i have an iphone 3g that i would like apple to do a warranty exchange on. I have had the phone since 11/08 and have recently been having issues with the phone powering off. I went into the apple store... and after waiting 30 mins to get help the rep told me he has to see the issue to swap me out. Unfortunately I didnt have all day to stand around and wait for it to pwr off, the rep only hung out with me for about 5 mins anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the right thing to say is to get an exchange? I dont live very close to the nearest store and would rather not waste my time driving out there again just to be turned away in 5 minutes after waiting an hour to get help. Can anyone tell me that between App Store and Apple itself, why there isn't a Video capture feature yet for this phone? I'm really blow away that it's not an option. You go to Photography in the app store and there is 25 apps telling you how to set an F-stop.

👿 I'm really getting mad that I am not able to hang up my iphone 90% of the time. Almost every time I take the phone away from my face, the screen wont light back up so I can hit the end call button. I have to shake it to death of keep hitting it on something hard for it to wake up so I can hang up. If that fails then I have to constantly hit the home button till it comes back awake. Anybody else having this problem? Any ideas how to stop it!!!

Hey fellow scoopers, I have 2 questions, first is, what's a good ring tone program that I can use that will work with 2.1?? i followed some instructions that I found online, but I only got as far as making a ring tones folder in my itunes and on my iPhone. Is it as simple as changing the file name and click and drag or is there more?
Also how can I convert my videos to MPEG-4 so that they will work on my phone, Thanks for your help 😁

So I have about 10GB worth of songs on my iPhone 3G and my CDs were stolen. My friend at work was able to transfer his songs from his iPod to his computer why can't I? I have used google and downloaded a few random programs that ended up being viruses... anyone with a good trustworthy program that is free????????? I am willing to pay for it if it is not free....

I havent been able to communicate with anyone for 5 hours now. I really think that apple or att should reimburse their customers who purchased the 3g iphone something for this huge f.up. whether it be a free activation or a credit of some type to our accounts

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone 3G but I know it has some limitations, and I'm wondering if its worth it to Jailbreak it and voiding the warranty. Just wondering the pros and cons and if its worth it thanks for the help.

Anyone recomend a decent screen protector for the phone which doesn't show the fingerprints.

Ok so I just upgraded to the 3g iPhone last night and unlocked it and all that good stuff. Well I have noticed that after about 5 minutes if I do not unlock my phone and view the text the text noise will sound again. Anyone else have this problem? Or is this something that is suppose to happen? If so anyway to turn this feature off? Thanks

I have a bunch of those free digital copies of movies (that come with the DVD itself) in my iTunes library, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them on my iPhone.

I found something about having to convert them to a certain type of file, but I'm confused. 😕

So I am debating between getting the new blackberry or waiting for the new iphone. I'm sure the new iphone will be a 3g phone, and it would be amazing if it had ichat as an application.

The question is, ABOUT when should we expect the new iphone to come out?

This will help me determine if I should get the blackberry or continue patiently waiting for a new, good phone for ATT.

Sorry guys but I had this phone for like three weeks and it was AWEFUL! I had constant problems the 3G never ever worked. Itunes is some sort of joke that crashed constantly. I literally had to go to Starbucks to download music. At least TMobile has their 3G in line. 😲 It was HORRIBLE! I am not give the phone a bad rating because lets face it... you can't put negative 5. Honestly I think I am going to give the Android a shout we shall see. I mean after having this wreak of a phone it would definately be worth it to get something much better!

i am a current verizon wireless customer living in the midwest i am a young man and i love new gadgets i have the lg dare now but i am kind of thinking about gettin the iphone i have heard good things about it and im jus not as satisfied with my dare. Am i better off staying the my dare and verizon or switching to at&t and getting the iphone i text alot but im not that much of a talker i do use my mins sparingly because i usually talk during the night and weekends i also would like the music feature of the iphone and i also like the apps ideas. i also would like to kno does the iphone support yahoo messenger and how is the internet compared to the dare? thanks to anyone and everyone who posts for sharing their ideas and thoughts.

I just got a new computer and installed iTunes. I make backups of my iTunes folder and have copied that onto my new computer. However, how do I backup/restore my iPhone settings and applications to the new installation of iTunes?

Hi, I'm doing research to decide on my next phone. I like the iphone to the extent that I know about it, which is not a lot when I read this forum.

One concern I have is for battery life. I'm planning on using it as my primary music player, as well as phone, so I don't have to carry two machines. I saw the mophie and wondered what people thought of it.
