Safely Remove Hardware???

My wife and I both have new ZINE's and I am having all kinds of problems getting them to interface smoothly with my PC. The most irritating is that I'm able to plug each one in, download the pictures no problem, but I do not get a 'remove hardware' icon in the quick launch bar. This problem is typical on BOTH phones. I've simply resorted to shutting the computer down and then unplugging the phone, hoping this doesn't screw them up.

Does anyone have any guesses where I might be going wrong?

WiFi How Too?

So I got my new phone took awhile to get my preexisting MyFaves to work. Support people had to change the names and re-sync. Then they finally loaded and all I had to do was change the names back.

Now the WiFi!

It picks up my home signal just great! But, how do I access the internet without it costing me. Can this be done? On one of the reviews here someone else stated they had done it. Also can you download your pictures to your home computer over the WiFi. I had to tell the salesperson that it is supposedly possible. He thought the WiFi was only for Web to Go.

Thanks

Flash player

Is there any way to get flash player on the ZINE?

Without it, for me at least, I can only watch youtube, and there are way more sites than youtube that I would rather watch.

Thanks for any help!

ZN5 Extra Capacity Battery

Anyone know if ZN5 can take the Motorola BX80 Extra Capacity Battery? At present, it takes the BX50. RAZR2 V8 also takes BX50 and BX80 with larger capacity door.

Thanks

Experiences with my ZINE

I bought the Zine a few days ago from T-Mobile. I have to say, this phone is fantastic. I just have a few responses to the review:

* Yes, it'd be nice if the microSD was hot-swappable, but since it can hold up to 8GB and I can transfer data without removing it, I don't think it will ever affect me.
* Screen: beautiful
* Signal: better than my last phone
* Sound: I completely disagree with the review... I have to set the volume to the lowest setting. The people talking on the other end are too loud at any other setting. As for the ringer: lowest setting is still too loud (in the office).
* Battery: OK so far, though the flash and WiFi drain it fast.
* Menu organization could use some work, though I'm getting used to it.
* MP3 sou...

Motorola Phone tools

I installed the Motorola Phone Tools and Kodak Easy Share Software from the CD that came in the box fr the Zine. Easy Share installed and loaded just fine but everytime I try to install the Phone Tools it tells me my phone is not compatible and cannot find an updated version from the web. What's the issue here? Am I doing something wrong, or is this software just not compatible with the Zine right now? Anyone else hae this issue?

Hope they make a CDMA version!

I really hope that they make a CDMA version of this so that I can use it on the Alltel network! ^-^;;
Seriously Alltel has a lack of nice camera phones...

That would have been great in ... 2007

For unknown reasons, T-mobile seems to be following the business strategies of Motorola -- a company whose cellphone division is failing miserably. The zn5 is cool spec wise ... if it came out 2yrs ago and now is really late to the megapixel party.
But I digress. I'm curious why T-mobile decided to wait until almost 2009 to realise that it was important to add some new technology like advanced camera phones and touch-based phones to their pathetic moto-rizr clone line-up. To make things even better, most of their new phones don't even support their 3g frequency of 1700. Since that's the case, why did not use the nokia n73, SE k800, or samsung d900 to fight back in 2007 when they were being assulted by AT&T and their iphone. They could have...

no 3g?

I mean, camera's and video on a phone to me is not a major issue, but why no 1700AWS, that is even a bigger issue the frame rates and resolution on the camera.

Wow, check out the video abilities

"The ZN5 has a five megapixel Kodak camera with autofocus, xenon flash and panorama shooting mode" and it can capture 176 x 144 videos at 15 frames per second! How lame is that?! Seriously, old cheap phones shoot videos that good.

Carrier

Okay, So who do you think will get this phone? Do you think it will be offered in the states? I'm thinking Cingular... They always have the best camera phones.... Wishing Tmobile would step it up anyday now!

Who's gonna carry it?

T-Mobile maybe. I hope so.

If this is not available with a carrier, I'm gonna be pissed. And it's not Motorola's fault.

I wonder if the U.S. version will have HSDPA???. . .

Camera seems to be very impressive, though it's yet another high end camera phone that lacks an optical zoom.

Ah heck I be surprised if ATT even picked up a 5mp camera phone!!!

Arg

I wish they wouldn't put those pictures on the screen... I tend to look right past the phone and assume it's something special when I see the design on the screen.
