HTC Touch Pro (CDMA)

Help me out folks. I love what I have seen from the touch pro, but hate how Verizon has crippled it. I am thinking of unlocking a Sprint version to use with Verizon, but I have read that I may lose some functionality. Is this true? What r ur thoughts? What functions can I expect to lose? Any info you have is much appreciated.

Does this phone have turn by turn navigation like the Samsung instinct?

does anyone know how to remove "dead icons" from the programs page...for example I downloaded and installed an application but did not like it so i uninstalled it but yet it still leaves behind the icon for that program. I would like to remove it because it is just taking up space and it doesn't even work (open).

My girlfriend just got a touch pro, sometimes when the backlight goes off it will not come back on... much like the early complaints on the vogue. It will not come back on even if it is called and needs to be soft reset to alleviate the problem. Is this a known problem? Is there any kind of fix for it.

We are thinking of taking it back and since she bought it last week we really dont want to get a rebuilt one in exchange. any thoughts or feelings are appreciated.

Today I tried to access a site on my browser that I've accessed many times before and got a message that said "Error! XML parsing failed." I know this is generally a problem that originates from the syntax on the website itself, but is there any way to tweak my settings or something so I can still access the page? (It's my hometown newspaper, if that matters: www.omaha.com)

I just received this phone. Now when I go to Settings -> System -> Device information then it shows up that I have 288 total of memory and tells me what the OS is using and I have 512 of storage.

I am going to take it to a sprint store any body else had this issue?

😢 i am having issues syncing my contacts i tried and tried and i cant get it to work! i tried to use that outlook that came on the cd but i had that funky actin outlook express preinstalled on my computer. i have windows XP and i need to know how i can sync my contacts to my computer. if anybody has any info or instructions PLEASE email them to me at arrynyo@gmail.com i would greatly appreciate it

please tell me how to use both at the same time.... if im using the touchflo3d, i cannot utilize the device lock. very annoying

I have already spoke with HTC about this issue and the rep did confirm its an issue. I am wondering if its only on my device or do all Pros have this issue. I have a Diamond touch Pro Rom Version -1.03.651.3. When I send a Picture Mail, the mail I'm sending goes to the Inbox. Never the Sent or Outbox. There are 4 folders in the Picture Mail. Inbox, Draft, Delete, Sent and Outbox. The rest of the folders are never used just the Inbox.

Can anyone with these devices send out a Picture Mail and see if the sent message goes to the Inbox or the Sent Box?

device lock cannot be utilized at the same time as the touchflo 3d screen... does anyone know how to fix this or lemme in on the secret to lock my screen while in touchflo 3d mode so i can put my phone in my pocket. thanks

Although I am very disappointed at the fact that Verizon has disabled features and is charging more for the Touch Pro, I am still planning on buying it. The problem is...I have been looking for it for weeks all over Northern California and everywhere I go or call says the phone is order only. I can't even find a store with a demo phone so I can check it out. Has anyone seen a Touch Pro in an actual store anywhere in the greater bay area.

I know this says it doesn't have an iR port, but so do a few other phones on here that do have them...Anyone with one of these confirm whether it has one or not? I'm thinking of getting the phone but cannot if it doesn't have iR (for a business application I use, has to have iR connectivity).

I just got my touch pro yesterday, and it's great. However, when i'm texting, the speed of the phone bogs down. like a memory issue. and my battery life is even worse than my 6800. anyone know how to fix either issue?

Does anyone know if netflix could be streamed through the touch pro?

Ok, so I'm thinking of getting a new Touch Pro. I like to play cribbage and want to know if games that will work in the Touch Pro, will work on the Verizon vertion of the Touch Pro? Or am I stuck with only Verizons games on their website?

Also thinking of the Storm and will be posting there also...

I am considering getting the Touch Pro for Sprint. However when I went into the store to try it out the bottom part of the phone with the touch keys was very loose and the whole part moved when pressing. It kind of felt like the whole thing might fall off. Is this how the Touch Pro normally feels or was it because it was the store phone? Also is there any other durability complaints for those who have one? Thanks in advance.
