GPS???
I'm very close to sending the phone back to Verizon. If I can get the GPS to work, without VZ Nav. Just GPS using satellites, I may keep it. The phone is fairly slow, especially starting the browser. Anybody know how to use the GPS? I have Google Maps, but still can't figure out how to use the internal GPS...

Stand alone GPS? Verizon steeling it's memory?
Hi,
I'm getting this phone tomorrow, I hope. Does it have stand alone GPS built in? Did Verizon really take away some of the memory???

Required Data Plan?
Curious if anyone knows if this phone requires the data plan or if it can just be used via wifi
Thanks in advance
Verizon sticks it to its customers
Verizon has done it yet again by eliminating the ample RAM from this phone.
They are charging more money than anyone else, and they have given less capability than anyone else. Great how that works.
They have cut the RAM in half, choosing to give you 128 MB of RAM instead of the 288 MB that it has by default and is offered in all the other carriers phones.
The CPU is at the full speed of 528 MHZ however Verizon has not been able to verify whether the accelerometer is active.
I know that I really wanted the RAM for applications that I need. They did the same thing with the XV6800.
The fact that they downgrade their phone and charge more for it is disappointing

Battery life on Verizon vs Sprint
I have owned this Touch pro for a few weeks now on Sprint to test and see if I want to get it with Verizon (my current provider). I notice that the battery life (on Sprint network) sucks when signal is weak. In my office I get almost no Sprint bars with the TouchPro, but my VZ i760 never had an issue. So needless to say, at the end of a work day, the TouchPro is pretty much dead, my i760 is rocking on with plenty of juice. So my question is if I get the Touch Pro on Verizon, and it accesses the stronger VZ network, what kind of battery life improvement will I see?
Anyone who gets this phone on VZW, please report back your battery experiences.
Thanks,

Bluetooth Issues
Has anyone had any problems using Bluetooth?
The Touch pro seems to work OK with my headset but when I try to partner with my desktop I can't get it to do a live sync using Bluetooth. I also have not been able to transfer files using Bluetooth between my computer and the Touch Pro. The computer only found three profiles for the Pro: PIM for beaming business cards, a network connection point, and a speaker profile which allows me to send the phone audio to the computer speakers. In the connections page (seetings>Connections>Bluetooth>Profiles there are numerous profiles listed but only three are being recognized by my computer and none of these are all too useful.
I am using a Belkin F8T012-1 Bluetooth dongle which is B.T. Version 2.0+...

Do you know how to....On the Touch PRO??
#1. Block a caller (Meaning not make the phone ring at all when someone calls.) I dont like it when someone calls with a blocked number. I just want my contacts assigned ringtones to ring NOTHING else.

Speaker Light
There is a little light to the side of the phone's speaker. Does anyone know what it's for? I've never seen it lit, even when I have missed calls.

What's the deal with battery life?
Went to check one out at my local Spint store and they said they are out of stock and awaiting an updated version from HTC that fixes the battery issue? I'm also reading on multiple forums that users are having serious problems w/ incredibly short battery life.
The Sprint store story could be BS from a misinformed rep, but the user forums are for real. Anyone know 'officially' if there are defects/issues with the early batches that are being addressed by HTC?
Very Poor Sound Quality
I have found that my Touch Pro's speaker has very poor sound quality when using the device for everyday telephone use. The sound coming from the earpiece speaker is distorted. It almost sounds as though the earpiece speaker is being driven too hard by the output audio amplifier or the equalizer settings are way off for a spoken voice. The speaker phone seems to work well as does the wired headset. I called HTC to get some advice and the only solution they could provide was to try and plug in the wired USB headset and then go and adjust the equalizer settings in the Audio Booster program. This I knew would not solve the problem since this program only works in conjunction with the USB headset and has no effect on the built-in speakers.
I a...

Blackberry Flip? Lotus, and one click
why a flip blackberry? looks okay but do you really want to have to worry about hardware, software, and breaking it in half?
lotus? fashion statement, i dont think so. looks like the creators of the Scion xB got ahold of blitz and thought it needed a little bit of tweaking... still have no idea which pocket it would go...
one click? as long as they dont start restricting the internet and downloads like verizon its all good. looks like a good way to simplify the interfaces. now if only all manufaturers could agree on a charger design.
