i read these reviews and people talk about pros and mention the 5.0MP CAMERA, have any of you people used the camera feature???? if not take a pic and sent it to your home computer and see how blurry the pics are, i have a VGA that takes better pics!! and no need to say anything about the battery life, terrible!! but on a positive note everything else about the phone is fantastic!!!

Whatever dude. You obviously have no idea how to use this phone. It takes amazing photos and was rated one of the top 3 camera phones available today. Try moving your finger out of the lens way when you snap your shot.

Also, battery life is very impressive for regular phone and email usage. I get 1 to 1.5 days on a charge. For a Winmobile phoen on a CDMA network thats awesowme. (Try an HTC Touch Pro out and you'll get 7 hours at the most). Of course if you listen to music or watch movies it will cut your battery time down significantly. Also remember to end all running tasks on your Omnia often. This is a common windows mobile issue and I remedy this by assigning my top right button to launch the tasks running screen then I "end all tasks...

I have looked at them on my home PC. They are pretty good. I will take sample photos later today, upload them and share them with all of you tonight.

Here are some sample photos I took with the Omnia SCH-i910. They are unedited, undoctored, unphotoshopped, yada yada.. All original direct from the Omnia's built in camera.

While they are not Canon Rebel quality, I do think they are of the best any camera phone can take today.

Eric, thanks for commint. I'm a new Omnia owner and using the forum and other FAQs to learn it. can you elaborate on your comment: "Also remember to end all running tasks on your Omnia often. This is a common windows mobile issue and I remedy this by assigning my top right button to launch the tasks running screen then I "end all tasks" a few times a day."

I understand what you are saying, but don't know what you mean by "top right button" and the "tasks running screen". Are you referring to the Window Start? thanks.. MTB

Yes that function works as well, but I find I end up moving widgets around half the time when I do that.

So what I did was reassign my side buttons to functions I prefer the most.

The top right (windows button) does the following now:
Press once and it finctions as of the current item.
Press and hold, it launches all running tasks, so I can then select "end all tasks".

The bottom right button (camera button):
Press once and it rotates the screen manually (I hated the auto rotate so I rotate it by pressing the button when desired)
Press and hold, launches the camera as originally set.

I read somewhere that in winmobile 7 the 'close' button will actually end the task. Or is this an update to wm6?

I have taken photos and sent them to the home desktop computer and they were fine. I was not displeased at all. What camera resolution are you using?
As for my Omnia's battery life, it has been outstanding. I often get 2 to 3 days for battery life before needing a recharge. My lowest battery life was 39 hours.
eric815's recommendation of ending tasks often is very important! Give it a try and see if the battery life improves. You can "Upward Swipe" between the Phone and Main Menu button selections and a menu will appear which allows you to End One or All Tasks. There will always be One Task running but you can end all the unneeded.
Keep an eye on these things. As you said, it could be a bad phone. Keep us posted on the situation....

Make sure you aren't taking pictures in the smallest setting. I have to set mine or the medium to large setting.

Some of my pics are very blurry, others are good. THere are a lot of settings on this camera, so it may take some adjusting. I know so far, if there are any lamps in the room, they look a bit like a super nova.
