hotmail setup problems
I just got the omnia and am having problems setting up for getting my hotmail email alerts, can anyone help?

Go to http://www.windowsliveformobile.com/en-us/win dowsmobile/default.aspx, and sign up your cell number. It will send you a text messenger and install the app for hotmail.

thx for ur help. unfortuantely, it's not accessing the hotmail that's the problem, it's the having it push the alert to my phone, amazingly, it's not doing this. initially when using the phone's email set up, instead of doing an automatic set up, it directs me to a link http://windowsmobile.com/emailsetup/live, which then opens up the phone's opera browser and directs me to a hotmail log in. i got access but couldn't figure out how to get alerts. I then contacted a tech who explained that microsoft windowslive has had issues in the past with blackberry and access because of it being a free email etc etc.. whatever the case, blackberry has it now, with full html access, and at the very least my old voyager whcih is not a smartphone, was able...

When setting up your email accounts, i believe there is a setting where you can choose how frequently you would like the account to refresh. Maybe you can try looking at this, good luck

took care of that with gmail, yahoo, and aol, works for all of them, hotmail won't even set up like the other ones, i might have to upgrade my hotmail service, ridiculous

I had the hotmail program installed on my phone but then had to do a hard reset for some issues. i cant remember how or where i found the program, can anyone direct me to it. its the windows live program that allows hotmail to be viewed from the email accounts on the phone. thanks
