Motorola Hint QA30

I'm a MetroPCS customer and I don't know what phone to get. I'm interested in the Hint or the Messager TWO, but i don't know what one is better, or worth it, any suggestions? I've done research and things like that but i'm just not sure. Thank you.

I am seriously considering getting this phone, but i have a few questions first...

Can you record a message with voice memo and then set it as a ring tone?

And can you take a picture and set it as your background?

and do you have to have it closed to talk on it? or can you talk on it with the keyboard out?

These might not seem very important but i want to know. so PLEASE HELP!

Did USCC discontinue this phone? I was told it was being pulled just untill they got a SW update. Anyone heard anything on this?

Is anyone experiencing terrible battery life like I am? I am using MetroPCS and they state that the phone should have

15.6 days standby and
4.5 hours talk time

I am getting no where near that. I am lucky if I get half a day standby.

I've got version 5 of Motorola Phone Tools installed on my Windows Vista computer. It was working OK with my KRZR, but I've recently gotten a Hint. When I try to connect the Hint, it says that my phone is not supported, checks for updates, and says no updates are available. According to any documentation I can find on the Hint, it should be compatible with Phone Tools. I've tried contacting Motorola Support, but haven't gotten an answer yet. Has anyone tried this and gotten it to work??

Will the Hint ever be released to other carriers? Namely AT&T? I'd much rather have this phone than the Samsung Propel so if anybody can help me, thanks!
