Does anyone know if Sprint is actually going to offer this phone
I am so sick and tired of waiting on Sprint to come out with a Windows based PDA phone, can anyone who actually knows tell me whether or not Sprint will really offer this phone any time soon, or is it going to be like the I-700 that was rumored for a year to be coming and then dropped?

Find anywhere for less $?
I'm not looking to replace my PDA entirely (as there still isn't a perfect device out there) so I'm not keen on spending an additional $500.
Has anyone seen this out there for less? I'd swear I saw it on letstalk.com for less but can't find it there now.
Thanks,

Software verson ... any new phones comming?
With features like still/video camera on so many models, is this phone worth it, or will it be replaced soon? I need the 'Outlook' connection, and small form factor.
Also, is the i600 running Smartphone 2003 or 2002?
thanks in advance.

Terminal Services...
I've been waiting for the v710 to give bt connectivity to my Ipaq, but that seems like a pipe dream...
So i'm either ditching vzw, or getting an i600
Does the i600 come w/ a terminal services client installed? if not, has anyone successfully installed one?
If anyone can trm srv into machines, how is the speed?
If i can trm srv into my servers at a reasonable sppeed, i'll stick w/ vzw and get the i600
Otherwise, i'll have to sacrifice my coverage in the rest of the world (i'm in nyc where every carrier has great signal) by switching to another carrier. I've rationalized this by saying to myself: 'Self, you're in NYC 90% of the time, and when you're not, you're either on vacation, or working in another major city where coverag...

Can I600 retrieve info from my home PC?
Has anyone ever use the I600 to connect to their home PC using PC anywhere or some other software? I have quickbooks on my home pc and like to access customer invoices from anywhere?
comments? experiences?
Worth $299?
I was at a Circuit City Express here in Raleigh NC, and I saw that they had the i600 for $299 after $200 rebate with 2 year contract. I have been planning on getting the V710, but my contract ends the month and I have a feeling it won't be released in time. So I thought this would be nice alternative minus BT. Any suggestions?

Contacts lookup feature in 2003 MS software upgrade
Contemplating buying this phone, but wondering if the Treo 600 will be worth the wait (Verizon service). Does anyone know if you can lookup contacts when sending email messages or text messages, seems like you can't in current software version, which is a big flaw in my opinion.... thoughts??
New software
Samsung confirms an upgrade to 2003 later this year, registered user will get notification. There is a problem with the software for the phones prior to 3/1/04 (s/w WH04 and prior). Seems the microphone volume on the headset is too low. No one can really hear me well, and I use a headset a ton. Verizon was very helpful, and real bone-heads, depending on who answered my call. The local store is making good. Version WK05 of the software fixes the headset mic volume by increasing 6db. You can send the phone to Samsung for the fix, Verizon can't perform the upgrade...
looking for bad i600

I like, but...
I like this phone, but I would like to know if anyone has information on how the following two issues can be fixed:
1. The phone takes about 5 rings before it displays the contact name.
2. I can't sync my Notes in MS Outlook. The basic Pocket PC allows for this and it seems like they should allow for this on Smartphone. Of course I also want to be able to edit these notes.
I am hoping that Microsoft comes out with a new version of Smartphone OpSys that fixes the above two issues and allows for the new software to be loaded onto my existing phone.

Info on unit sales of the SCH - i600
I am currntyly do a report on Windows Mobile -based Smartphones. Unforuntly I have not been able to find any information on unit of this hot new mobile operating system. By the way the report is due by tommorrow.
Programs
Are there programs compatible with Smartphone like there are on the Palm OS?
For example, I have Omniremote on my Palm that turns it into an infrared remote control and can work with many things. It would be a nice added feature if the phone could also be a remote control. I just don't know if programs like that exist and if they do, where I can find them.
Even aside from something like that, games and things like bar drink recipes would be nice.
Thanks!
Smartphone 2003
Does anybody know if Smartphone 2003 operating system is available for upgrade? The Smartphone 2002 seems a little limiting - especially in the email capability.
I've heard that the Smartphone 2003 operating system is being made available, but I have no idea on a time table.
Any ideas?
Upgrading SD card on i600
Just wanted to see if anyone can provide a bit of guidance. I wanted to upgrade the SD card in my i600 to a Lexar 128 to increase space and transfer speed. I already have installed one or two apps on my card and as well as stored a bunch of photos.
Is it as simple as just copying the entire contents of the existing SD card onto the new one? (i.e. can I then just pop it in the phone and I'm golden?) or is there some convoluted requirement to take an installed app and then re-install it on a new SD card.
Any help or guidance would sincerely be appreciated.
