LG VX-4400

I would love to know why we as consumers seem to accept the fact that:
1. All cell phone service is over-priced
2. Service quality is poor
3. Cell phones work well for 9 - 10 months only.
4. Cell phones break with-in a year .
5. Wireless contracts last a min. of one year.
If Verizon wireless had no forced contracts ie 1-2 years. Verizon would not keep customers. When are we going to wake up and demand better service?

is the t9 word expandable? like how can you add words to t9 word? like yay or brb or lol or w/e.

Have used the LG VX4400 for appox 18 months. About six weeks ago the battery life began to decrease and I started getting a "Change Battery" message. To avoid issues, I purchased an LG original equipment replacement battery. However, I am still having same battery life issues and getting same message. Any ideas re the problem and solution? Thanks.

Somehow, my phone is in "manner mode" and I can't find a way to get it off of this. I've checked every setting, ring tone...I thought I looked at everything...

Can someone help me....pretty please.... 🙄

My wife has this phone and I was wondering if there is a way so disable that light coming on when the phone is in the cradle being charged - its driving me nuts!

This ohone was mailed to me without a manuel. It beeps and blinks and I can't figure out why it keeps doing this!!! Plus I would just like to familiarize my self with it

Hey i have a problem...
Whenever i open my phone and then shut it the sub lcd doesnt light up. It does light up when i press the up\down button though. But is there a setting to where when i shut it the light comes on automatically?

I just bought a 4500 for an upgrade from the 4400B. I have the USB cable for the 4400B. If I get the USB cable should I be able to put the ring tones from the 4400 on the 4500? I think they are diff formats...4400 is MIDI and I think the 4500 is polyphonic. Any tips for me? 😁 I thought Verizion would let me download them again for free, but I was told no. 😢 Thanks!

I am thinking about getting LG 4400, but I am uncertain about the following thing. After doing my research, I found out that LG 4400 has an unusual desktop charger (not the travel kind, as all of my other phones have). My question is then, is it possible to talk on the phone while it is being charged?

Where can i find ringtones for this phone. I am looking for the Iowa Hawkeyes Fight song in particular. I have found tons of websites with those songs, but none that supports the vx4400 with US Cellular. Also, I found those "ring tone cards" at walmart and those do not list this phone either. Do I have to get a new phone to get the Iowa Fight Song????

I am happy with my 4400B, it seems to have much better reception than the Motorola T730. One question - Is it possible to change the hot key programming? I don't need mobile web or get it now & would like to change one to calculator and one to alarm clock. From what I've read, I don't think it can be done, but I'd thought I'd ask.

I just have a quick question. Does anyone know what option 9 (My Folder) under the Messages menu means. I can't figure it out.... Thanks in advance for any help! 🙂

Can this phone recieve picture mail or multimedia messages?

I'm a new VX 4400 user and I have some questions. My objective is to turn this into a more professional, less glitzy phone.

(1) Is there any way to get rid of the wallpaper so that the screen is just white or some other light color?

(2) Would that increase battery life? Probably not, since it still is a "color" screen, but one can hope . . .

(3) Is there a download that allows one to adjust the ringer and the vibe independently. In other words, I'd like to have the vibe work while the ringer is set to a low volume. Possble?

(4) What is the best source of ringers? I am willing to pay a onetime fee, but I'm not willing to sign up for the monthly BREW fest. I want a nice professional (but distinctive) ringer - - - ...

Hi can anybody tell me how to fix my phone the keys will not work and sometimes it won't dial a number for me?

I want to drill a hole in the back of my phone to make a strap post. I spent 10 months in Japan & phone charms are a really big thing over there. I want to be able to put my charms on my phone. I love my phone, but I'm upset that it doesn't have a strap post. (I'd actually prefer to use my Japanese phone, but I guess it can't be done) If you look at the top part of the phone on the back you can see where one would be but then there's that plastic GPS label on the back where it would come out. So could I drill a little hole right there? I have no idea where all the inner parts to the phone are & I would hate to ruin something. But I must have my strap post. I've considered switching to a Samsung for this reason, but I don't like them ...

I'm also having a challenge when setting the alarm. The alarm will ALWAYS vibrate (sometimes it vibrates 1st, then rings. Sometimes it JUST vibrates). I keep trying to set it to RING only. Can't figure out what I might be over-looking. Frustrated, JvMaska 🤭

I've been using the VX4400 w/Verizon for a few months & it's good in many respects but the integration of voicemail with the phone seems nonexistent. On my former phone (Motorola StarTac with Sprint (left the Sprint service area....)...) when I went to the messaging menus, it would display the called IDs and dates for all my voice mails on the screen, without me needing to call voice mail to get them. I could add numbers directly to my address book from this screen. With the VX4400, when I go to the Messages menu > 1 Voice , all I get is a screen saying how many messages are on voice mail (and, if I've saved a message on my voicemail, it's not reported here). The caller IDs for voicemail aren't recorded on the phone. So there's no ...
