LG Clout

🤣 Is this the end of feature phones or is there any additional things comming out. It looks like all the powers to be are concentrated on the Smart phones. Does this mean we all will have to go and get a smart phone soon and pay the additional money for the data packages.

I just purchased one of the LG8370's and am setting it up. One of the reasons I went with the Clout was that in specs I've saw, it says it's capable of wifi, but I don't know how to turn the wifi on, know if it's always on, or what. I am using it through Kittys Pageplus instead of activating it thru Verizon. It works fine, but I just don't understand how to access the web using wifi with it. I don't seem to be able to access it using Verizons web base program, and may have to download opera 10 or something to it, which I have no ideal how to do.

Love the phone so far, but I sure would like to be able to access the web via hotspot and wifi for those rare "wish I had access to the internet right now" times.

Any recommendations?

My Clout music player sometimes comes on due to my horizontal holster depressing the unlock/play buttons on the outside of the flip when I move around. Is there a way to selectively lockout these buttons when I don't want to use the player?

Other than this, it's a GREAT phone!

Anyone using the Clout on Page Plus?
If so, how did you get WAP and data to work?

Has anyone heard of this problem. During a call the level in the earpiece is NOT constant and I can hear the sidetone come and go. The level may suddenly get so loud that I have to adjust the volume to minimum and it is still so loud I can't put it on my ear and then moments later the level will drop and I have to increase the gain. I have exchanged the phone once and have the same problem.
The sidetone coming and going is also annoying since when the sidetone goes away it sounds as though I have lost my call (the sidetone is the feedback in the earpiece of your own voice).
I have logged the calls with Verizon and they say it is not their network.

The speed dial function does not work on the Clout. You can make your speed dial entries, but the phone dumps them after it is cycled off then on.
I exchanged the phone but the new one did the same. The Costco guy called Verizon and found out it is a known problem to be fixed at some unknown later date.

Has anyone heard of a fix yet?

upgrade. When I inquired about the LG Clout
He said that Verizon will be selling the
phone...in his words "coming soon"

Trouble brewing with the Clout, folks!! Well at least the two I've had since 8/1/10. A reset issue (powers off then powers back on) is back on the latest one I received from VZ.

Such a shame since it's a great phone. But if it's happened to me with two phones (one from an outside supplier, the other a certified "like-new" from VZ both within two months) it's a pretty good guess there is something wrong in the software make-up of the LG Clout. Keep an eye on your phone. Obviously one cannot watch it all day long but keep it near you so you'll notice if it does indeed reset. It is not normal!!

Are you listening LG/Verizon?

Have had this phone for over a month and find it to be great. would like it to vibrate and ring at the same time. does anybody know if this is possible.

Can the external clock be set to always on?

Under the settings menu there is an option called "USB Mode." This brings up three choices: "Media Sync Mode," "Modem Mode" and "Ask On Plug."

None of this is detailed in the tiny "Tips, Hints and Shortcuts" guide I received with the phone.

Can you use this phone as a modem for a laptop?

I've never used a memory card with a flip phone. Does anyone know what the max memory size is it can use? Profile here says "at least 16 GB" ... but what about a 32 gig?

For those who do use cards with this kind of phone, what are the benefits? Store almost unlimited photos, movies, etc.?

I'm trying to get this phone with my new-every-two discount, and I don't see it on the website. Don't I have to use the website to get the discount?

I just retired my Dare after a year and have my Clout charging...This Clout is an awesome phone, really nice looking and well thought out...Thank God someone has bought the flip back I'm tired of touch screens...

Does anyone know when this phone is being offered in the Verizon stores? This phone has been out for several months now.

I picked up a LG Acolade from Costco a month ago. It's an OK phone. It looks like it has longer battery life and smaller size than the Clout according to the specs. It does have one annoying thing. The camera button on the side of the phone is easy to activate when in your pocket or when opening the phone. Can anyone confirm the Clout doesn't have this problem? Costco has a generous 90 day return policy so I may get the Clout instead if they start carrying it.

Got mine yesterday from retailer in midwest. Impressed with screen clarity, sound, option to talk with flip closed. Keys are crisp.

Very nice upgrade for LG. Got mine on ebay, brand new, great seller, cell sells in midwest.

😛 Had this phone now for one week and still liking it. This is my second phone the original one didn't pare with my cars bluetooth. I had it replaced, Have nothing but good things to say about my phone now.

😁 I finally received this phone and I LOVE it! Great upgrade from the 8360 which I had. Great battery life, huge keypad, and very easy to read and text. Dual speakers are fabulous and loud if you want them to be. Haven't tried the camera yet, but it's a 2.0 pixel. So it should take great pics!! I love the fact that you can adjust the font size, very cool feature. Crisp and clear screen outside and inside. The color is awesome. sort of a metallic grey and black. Keypad grey and black, and very well lit. I am very happy with this phone so far. Call quality outstanding!! Speakerphone super clear. You can even talk with the phone closed. I mainly use it to talk and text, but in my opinion, this is a fabulous upgrade from the 8360, built very so...
