LG clout in Verizon stores?
Does anyone know when this phone is being offered in the Verizon stores? This phone has been out for several months now.

Hey deemer57! I am hearing mainly 2 things about this phone. That Verizon will NOT carry it in it's main stores, and I've heard that they are trying to get rid of the 8360's, since they have so many of them. They had tacked on the data plan on the 8360's, and they stopped selling like crazy, so now they have a ton to get rid of. A rep told me they might sell them when they get rid of the other phones. Right now you can get them from other sources and from an authorized Verizon dealer. I have this phone, and love it. Got it off of e-bay from an authorized Verizon dealer. It was an upgrade from the 8360 that I had. Hope I helped some!!!! This phone is awesome though, and takes great pics too, since they also upgraded the camera to a 2 mega pix...

You're welcome! In my opinion, this is a great quality phone, and I feel it has a good speaker. If you get this, I really think you will not be disappointed. I'm always leary about making a purchase without seeing it in person, or feeling it, hearing it, etc. But I'm so glad I made this purchase, it is much better than the 8360. Maybe in the near future, Verizon will carry it, and maybe not. This is one we have to wait and see. I was due for an upgrade, and so glad I got this one! If you do purchase this, please post on how you like it! 🙂

BTW- How is texting on this phone? I never had texting on my other flip phone, so I was wondering if it would be better to get a touch screen instead.

Hi deemer57! I love the texting on this phone. Keys are very responsive, and not slow. The keypad is large, but not over the top. Brightly lit, and you can see numbers and letters very well. But that is my experience with this phone. I never had a touchscreen, the smudges and fingerprints would make me crazy. Just a quirk of mine. I think they are pretty cool, but I would hate to constantly wipe every second. I know people who have touchscreens, and the minute they do something like text or call, they are constantly wiping their phones. If that doesn't bother some people, that's cool too, it would make me nuts. I feel the texting is awesome on this phone. Hope I helped some! 🙂
