HTC Droid Eris
Can anyone help???!!!
I purchased my Eris yesterday and the woman at the store was suppose to get my yahoo set up for me and didn't. I have been trying since to do it myself. I have called customer servicce twice and spoke with three people that tried to walk me through the set up. Each time i try to set it up I get an error message saying my server is not responsding, I get the message when trying to configure the incoming and outgoing. I have merged my yahoo account with the gmail account but it is still not allowing me to see my emails and none of them are being sent to my phone. I really like this phone I upgraded from the storm and really don't want to go back! 😕

There is an easier way to pull up yahoo mail on android:
Go to manual setup > IMAP account and change to these settings....
Imap server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP Server- smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Go to manual setup > IMAP account and change to these settings....
Imap server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP Server- smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com

Ok while I consider myself knowledgeable about these types of things you have lost me here. When I go into manual set up I get the Imap server name but I don't get the smtp field. I put my email address and password in, but what should the username be? Also what security type should I pick? help please 🙂
