Motorola V600
where do i get the usb to connect
Help me make a decision
I have been lurking for a while on the forums trying to learn some things, and I have to thank you for what I've learned.
I want to switch to a bluetooth enabled phone to work with my Palm Tungsten T and a Wireless Headset when my current Alltel contract expires.
I like the V600 and also the specs on the "soon to be released" V710. What I need to do is decide which way to go.
What are the pros and cons of GSM(V600) and CDMA(V10)?
And what are the relative good and bad points between AT&T/Cingular (V600) and Verizon (V710)
I'm really torn between the two, but aren't sure if one or the other will be a mistake for me.
Help? Thanks!!!
Wait for v710?
comparison question
I have a question. I have a Motorola v60i (CDMA with ALLTEL) and since I moved I'm not too happy with it.
I seem to be in an area dominated by Cingular and my v60's actin up like never before...droppin calls if I take a step, gettin all staticky, makin funny noises with the external speaker, etc. I've been seriously considering switchin to Cingular for better reception and nationwide coverage...not to mention rollover, but I don't wanna spend the $$ on the v600 if it's crap. What I want to know is how the v600 is gonna stack up to my v60 as far as general use goes...I already know about all the nifty features like bluetooth (in fact I've got a jabra headset I'm dyin to ...

Quick question, someone can answer
Anyone? More powerful antenna for v600?
Spoke with ATT about it and they reprogrammed my SIM card which has made the problem a little less annoying (the phone rings at my desk where it previously did not). But it still floats between "AT&T Wireless" and "Emergency Only" to 'No Service" throughout the day. I am inclined to think it may be the antenna as I've tried everything else.
I've been seeing these gold-plated stub things and am wondering if anyone here ...

Carriers for the V600.
I bought the AT&T cell plan since it fits my usage on the phone side.
However on the internet browsing side.....
They want 80.00 a month for unlimited internet access. Cingular wants 20.00. Something is wrong. Can someone please advise?
I suspect I am comparing apples to oranges.
Thanks.

V600 crashing?
My V600 seems a bit weird, and im wondering if theres a fix available as if not ive gotta send it off for 10 days +, and it'd be very difficult with my job to be without a phone.
Firstly it seems very temperamental when answering calls, sometimes it'll just have a blank screen on opening the flip, and no keys will work, likened to a computer "stalling" when processing a large file. After a few seconds it will restore, but by then the caller has normally hung up. This problem seems worse if i use an MP3 ringtone.
However whenever i test this (at the shop or showing a friend) it works fine FIRST time.
Has anyone had this issue? It seems to be better answering landline calls opposed to mobiles.
Hope someone can give ...

more questions from the duke
1) I've been seeing all sorts of stuff on ringtones. What do I need to buy in order to shorten some of the mp3's on my computer and send them onto my phone without having to pay per tone? (Also, where can I get this device)
2) Is this phone capable of recording a video at all? All I know is how to take pictures but I'm wondering if I can film a video for a few seconds. If anyone knows how to do this (if it's possible), then please let me know.
Thanks a bunch.

New V600 user (first impressions)
Impressions of the V600 after 3 days: I like it. It seems like a well made Motorola, though the back case does not fit as snugly against the top on the side with the antenna as I'd like.
User interface is fair, not amazing. Responsiveness is pretty good. Screen quality is excellent. Speaker phone capabilities q...
