BlackBerry Bold 9650
Half duplex ... really?
It's 2010.
We have cameras built into phones that rival top market devices, wifi, super fast data... essentially a portable computer that fits into your pocket...
Yet they choose to outfit this high end device with a HALF DUPLEX speaker phone? Seriously?
I haven't followed Berry devices for a long time but is this typical for them?
I use my speaker phone on all of my phones almost exclusively and a full duplex speaker is essential.

My Tour (9630) is NOT "HALF DUPLEX"; I would hope this is just an oversight or miss-communications of this device.. It has only been on this site for 48 hrs...

I don't know but BB's need to get better. I keep seeing the same things recycled again and again. They don't have a half-way decent touch screen phone like an the Droid or iPhone. The Storm is a horrible phone compared to the other touch screen smart phones available. Seems like RIM really needs to step up their design or come out with a device like a Droid or iPhone. I know that BB sales are good but the other devices are cathing up quick. They got to have something more than just BBM

Blackberry is rooted in enterprise.....not consumers.
They dont need a droid type phone, they need to improve what they have and continue to build on their strengths.
RIM is 4th largest phone manufacturer in the world, they are doing just fine.

RIM is so far behind it is just a matter of time before they become Palm like. RIM is arrogant, customer service is poor, and frankly their phones have gotten worse.
I have the Bold 9650 only because I have to, not because I want to. BB used to have the best sound quality. Now it is mediocre at best. My phone sounds muffled and I have tried 3 different Bolds thinking it had to be defective. Frankly, RIM's quality is WEAK. I am not happy. One year to go and bye bye RIM and Lackberry.

What exactly do you need? Alien super technology to hear something? Everyone's a whiner.

Unfortunately, if you read the specs on this phone it is half-duplex. âšī¸
