Droid or Nexus, my contract is up next month now I really can't decide. I sure do like the look of the Nexus but the Droid has kinda grown on me also. I don't mind waiting for it to come to Verizon in the spring; that will actually give me time to read more first hand reviews. I never really needed an actually keyboard but that has grown on me also since the Droid is so thin.
Droid or Nexus, Droid or Nexus, decisions decisions decisions.......
I bet I'm not alone, and it's finally nice to be a Verizon customer and to have so many great choices.

uh nexus... tmobile will be at 21mb soon, if you're in the right area, cost less, and plus the droid is way laggy when compared to the nexus. Google will spoil this phone with updates =P
...
Great points. I'm leaning towards waiting for the Verizon Nexus phone this spring. I'm just wonder what release date I'll be looking at.
...
Sometime in April? Just a guess. The Nexus One does have a much, much better processor, and that awesome AMOLED screen. Plus those cool noise cancelation features.
Personally I'm not too sure how I feel about an ALL touch phone with no physical keyboard, I really want a physical keyboard. A smarphone with the exact same specs as the Nexus One + a slideout keyboard I wouldn't even hesitate!!!

Jay, they mentioned that they are making an "enterprise" version with a keyboard... it could also mean tighter exchange support and better security (crosses fingers)
Remember, NEXUS is the brand name, not just a single device.
...
Well yeah I did hear that Nexus is a model line, but the part about an "enterprise" handset I missed, where did you hear that?
I *WANT*...end of sentence!!!!!
Can you provide me a link, so I can read up on it too?

Thanks for the links. I was doing laundry when I got your post, getting ready for a jon training course I have to attend Wed & Thur.
Hey Menno, I want to ask you if you can agree with me on this? I think smartphone w/o keyboards should retail for less, approximetly $50 less, than smartphones with keyboards.
Personally I'm willing to pay a -slight- premium for a smartphone with a physical keyboard!!!
So what do you think? I also think versions of smartphones with, and without keyboards should come out at the same time!

jon training? taking the porn thing seriously, arn't you? 😛
I don't know about the keyboard thing. if they were the same exact phone, maybe, but often the phone is changed completely to make room for the keyboard (or to remove it).
and I cant remember the last time they said a "keyboard/no keyboard" version of a phone came out, unless you count the versa

Ha, ha about the porn gig? Ah security was way, way boring of a job, all by myself at night, no coworkers, no nothing. Anyway, I called my friend James and chatted with him and he suggested I go to his jobs office and apply, it's a PCA job, (Personal Care Attendant). I don't know if this is something that can make sense or not, but all these years in Las Vegas, it's hard to find anything, or be a part of anything that's *meaningful*. And I didn't grow up with grandparents, so I though it would be nice to be a pca. I've already taken the CPR class, got my finger print cards, 2-stage tb test, and the people in the office said they already have a client lined up for me. I need more fresh things in my life anyway, break away from the past. Who k...

I swear, I meant to type job training course!

actually most reviews seem to point that the nexus one isn't significantly faster than the droid. and remember, droid will be getting 2.1 soon as well.
...
Yes they will be at 21mb, but the Nexus One won't support it. No phones sold support it, nor will they for sometime. What this version of hsdpa+ will be great at would be for data cards.

Glad you joined the club. 😁 Congratulations

I am getting so anxious to get this phone and can hardly wait any longer for verizon to get it. I used to have tmo and their coverage was adequate for my needs 99% of the time but now I see their costs for a smart phone are no lower than verizon's so why do many always refer to the savings with tmo? Maybe just with regular phones? I cant decide should I keep waiting for the cdma version or just pay ETF and get my nexus now! Any opinions welcome!

I'm very anxious also and I'm hoping to hear something from Verizon today or at least during the CTIA conference.
Give me something.....Nexus One, HTC Incredible... something that will allow me to rid myself of this Treo 650 with joy and glee.
