LG VX-6000

Hello everyone,

I currently own an LG VX6000 (which I am upgrading in a few days) and in owning it I became very proficient in creating my own ring tones to avoid paying usage fees for the ringers provided through GET IT NOW. This may not even be relevant anymore, seeing as how anyone who plays around with it enough could discover what I did, but enough with the banter: here it is, step by step.

Prepare music/voice message/tones

1. Go to "Send Pix Msg" via the camera icon button

2. After clicking it, put your own # in the address field. (if you have "Enhanced" under option in the lower right hand corner, turn this "On")

3. Go down to the Sound field and hit record (note: there is an approx. 6-second delay)

uhhhmmm i was wondering if u can like mah the voice memo a ring tone...for instance if i record a song nd i wanna play is for a ringtone will it work..if so how?? 🙂

I got mine data tool from a new york store, this data tool is called handset manager data tool ma8022 something, it is really awesome.
I can change different ringers, different instruments, different animation and wallpaper, modify or fix the pictures in bwtween my pc and cell, and manage phone book data all the stuff.
It makes my vx6000 become the most popular and unique phone because i can change ringers and wallpapers everyday, fix pictures whenever i like. For price of 35 (tax included) to get this gadget, I consider it very reasonable and nice.

I recently had to exchange my 6000 and I can't remember how to set up the free wap. I am lost without it. I searched the forums and only found 1 about it and it didn't work.

Does anyone know what this "answering machine" means under voice tools? I tried it, and can't figure out what it does, if anything.

Can this phone be locked or chipped (so that you can only use the phone with that specific provider)??

I heard that this phone/model cannot be chipped. If it would be locked does anyone know how to unlock it?

It will put the incoming call to the voice mail, and I always hit it when I open the phone. You know if you hold a little bit harder it always makes 2 clicks, ... Gosh!

How to turn off this founction, please help, this realy made me mad. 👿 I missed so many calls. ☹️ Any help will be appriciated.

my phone is stuck in car kit mode, Verizon attributes this to water damage I am not so sure. Can anybody help me with this it would be appreciated all vz wants to do is sell me another phone at full retail.

Voice Memo

Voice Memo lets you record and store short voice messages that you can play back at any time. Many phones with this feature also let you record parts of phone conversations in progress. Some phones have a dedicated voice-memo button to activate the feature.

that is the defintion of the Voice Memo option of the LG V6000. My question is how can you 'record parts of phone conversations in progress' like it says in the def?

Or is this phone not enabled with that?

I have heard rumors that this phone has speaker phone capabilities but it is disabled in programming somehow. Does anyone know how to enable the speaker phone or are these just rumors that I am hearing?

It requires a little bit of initial setup which can be a little bit of a
pain. Basically you need to make sure you have a voice ringer on your
phone. The easiest way to produce one of these is to go into the Voice
Memo feature, record a quick memo (can be silence if you like)...

I ended up with an extra "Retractable 3-1 Phone Charger" with Zip-Kord cable attachment.

It will charge the phone when plugged into the car lighter socket, when plugged in the wall, or when plugged into a USB port on the computer.

It is brand new, works with the VX4600 and the VX6000

This is really an awesome data kit for LG VX6000, the kit is called handset manager, a package comes with software and data cable, also this software offer software free upgrade! It is totally different than those pure cables with cheap software products, check this thing out and you will love it!!

I sent a fairly long text message out today to a T Mobile user with an old phone. The icon in my outbox shows an envolope with an arrow pointing away from it. Does this mean that the message never made it? When I text message t oanother verizon phone I get a hand holding the message in the outbox.

Can somebody please tell me what the latest firmware version is for the VX 6000?

I want to make sure I have the latest versions of software installed on my phone? How do I update it if I have an old version?
